The GOP "JUSTICE" bill isn't written in a way that would convey that they're serious about accountability. Police training and education are important but Republicans have a gaping hole in their bill on accountability and they’re not dealing with the heart of the problem.

When I saw the George Floyd video and the marches that followed, I knew this is a defining moment for our Nation. The Harris/Booker bill challenged people, myself included, to examine our conscience and meet the moment. We can't wait to act in the direction of systemic change.
If Senator McConnell were a leader who wanted to be serious in this moral moment, he would sit down with Democrats and negotiate something substantial that addresses the systemic issues in law enforcement and police accountability.
