Dear Friends, I just watched an interview on TV on the @marthamaccallum where @rweingarten of the American Teacher Federation blamed special education students for the high cost of education and as the reason they need more money. What is not being told is that it is not the
services for the kids that are causing this high cost but rather the lawyers who are billing districts ten times the amounts of the cost of services. I urge you to send in a comment with our kids' side of the story. Here's the one I sent in:

an interview with @rweingarten of the American Federation for Teachers where she essentially blames special education students for the high cost of education. What Ms. Weingarten failed to mention is that this high cost is due to payments to attorneys to litigate against
children with special needs to deny them access to services. This has happened to my family and to many other families in my area (San Bernardino County). I will gladly share my story which involved payments to private investigators for the school district to conduct government
surveillance on our attorney and private tutor. The special education system has been hijacked by for profit litigators, the money is not going to help the kids.
