There are a total of 4 Consent agenda items that need public comments on - you can call them in to read them yourself OR you can email crystal.lopez@sbcss.net and Crystal will read them for you if you are not able.

Action Item 6. Matters Brought
by Citizens(general public comments) please discuss-complaint that was filed in California Department of Education by Public Advocates and the ACLU of Southern California that alleges massive neglect of Black and Brown students in school throughout San Bernardino by the
San Bernardino County of Education (SBCOE). Basically it states there is 300 million dollars in unaccounted or misspent funds.

Action Item 10.1. Please submit your public comments and ask to APPROVE action item #10.1

Please ask the Board to waive attorney-client privilege -
WE NEED TRANSPARENCY and ACCOUNTABILITY of our taxpayers $$$$!!! OUR CHILDREN NEED AN GOOD EDUCATION!!! Ask the BOARD to APPROVE the WAIVER!!!

Action Item 10.2. DWK is the legal counsel for charter schools. Board never got to vote on choosing law firms. @SBCo_Supt_Ted
chooses. Please share your experiences of DWK/Sarah Sutherland with the board. DWK has a bad reputation for special education. Does the board want to be represented by a law firm with that victimizes children with disabilities? Ask the board to select different legal counsel
than DWK.

Action Item 10.6. Superintendent Ted is seeking a raise. He is seeking another raise amid the Coronavirus outbreak and despite the fact he hasn't done a good job. He doesn't oversee special education, he enables for-profit litigators to sue children with
disabilities, he pays bills without any oversight and then we have the ACLU/LCAP issue (from Action Item #6 - also ACLU compliant link below)

I am concerned. I am concerned as 3 out of the 5 statistics you site point to how the educational system in our county is failing black students yet only one of the eight action items even attempts to address this issue. Is the Board of Supervisors giving @SBCo_Supt_Ted
and the many districts in the county a pass on their contribution to this crisis?

@UplandUnifiedSD Taxation without Representation-- The Upland Board approved a contract for attorneys to sue children with disabilities and profit from denying them services. They literally voted on a contract that they had not seen. Many parents and advocates complained about
the law firm of @F3Law who has hijacked @UplandUnifiedSD, marginalized teachers and make a profit by generating special education disputes. The Upland board ignored all the concerns from citizens and approved the contract which has no cap so it is essentially a blank check to the
law firm to profit from our Upland tax dollars. The contract was nowhere to be found on the agenda packet which is interesting as all other contracts were included. The standard contract for @F3Law, which parents have obtained copies of from other districts who do make it
