Russia, backed by China, has cast its 14th veto in the UN security council concerning the delivery of aid to Syria over its land borders, as the harsh Caesar sanctions crack down on the Syrian people...
Russia's veto is met with controversiality, called 'despicable' by Amnesty and criticized by Antonio Guterres and others, while the same 'defenders of humanity' refuse to speak out on poverty and famine caused by the US-imposed Caesar sanctions.
"China’s U.N. Ambass. Zhang Jun blamed sanctions against Syria, imposed by the U.S. & the EU, urged that they be lifted. He rejected the U.S. heaping “blame” on China, saying “it’s once again demonstrating the hypocritical approach adopted while imposing unilateral sanctions.”
It is clear that the US prefers to work towards a opposition surrounded solution, as it has exempted Turkish-backed rebels in the North-West, and continues to financially support the Kurdish-led opposition in the North-East.
