Today @WorldRelief and @OpenDoors released a report Closed Doors: Persecuted Christians and the U.S. Refugee Resettlement and Asylum Processes which found a 90% reduction since 2015 of Christians resettled from countries where the church faces persecution: worldrelief.org/content/upload…

From several particular countries from which the U.S. has
historically welcomed large numbers of Christian #refugees,
including Iran, Iraq and Myanmar (also known as Burma), the
decline from 2015 to 2020 is on track to be even greater: 97%, 95%, and 94% #RefugeesWelcome

Resettlement for other religious minorities — Jewish refugees from Iran, Yezidi #refugees from Iraq, Muslim refugees from Burma and others — are all also on track to end 2020 down more than 90% from 2015

In September 2019 @USCIRF chaired by @tperkins warned against the consequences of further
cuts to #refugee resettlement numbers, encouraging the
administration to restore the number of #refugees to the
