Spain, Belgium and Italy were hit harder than the USA.
They got their new case rates into the green zone and kept them there. You can see from the hills and valleys it wasn't always easy.

The Philippines has struggled harder with COVID-19 than most other south west pacific nations. Despite a strong and immediate response, they have had trouble getting negative case rates and keeping them (staying in the green).

Japan was following South Korea's lead and got deep into the green zone long enough to control COVID-19.
However, over the next few weeks they slowly crept back into the red.
Now their case rates are heading back to where they were in mid April.

New York and New Jersey followed the good pattern, but their new case slope is hovering near zero and has wandered into the red. Getting a little deeper into the green zone can assure a safe recovery.
Massachusetts and Connecticut both got well into the green zone and stayed there for weeks, but they now look like Japan did last month. They are creeping gradually back into the red zone.
Arizona and Florida both have normalized new case rates about the same as New York had.
Arizona is now in the green zone. Their 7 day new case rates are dropping by 67/day. Florida's are climbing 124/day.
Whatever NY and AZ did, FL needs to copy it.
