Breonna Taylor was attacked
Elijah McClain was attacked

This is a fragility narrative that is designed to promote an innocent quality and design a narrative that these women just accidentally made a choice they made consciously

@coreyandreasen @mraspinall Education is not about me centering women who know better and reconstructing a world where I project innocence on them to allow them to engage in fragility

I reject this narrative you are forming where education is centering their needs and priority

@coreyandreasen @mraspinall No one was “torn down” again that is another fragility narrative. They were told the truth

No one prioritized their growth and you all believe they should be centered while being problematic- a demand for free labor and if you don’t do it you aren’t committed to “education”

@coreyandreasen @mraspinall I believe the educators being referenced are adults. They made problematic choices and when called out showed no commitment to growth. They did not care about the impact

@coreyandreasen @mraspinall And yet now they have a presumed innonence and naïveté that was constructed on their behalf and fragility narratives designed to demand a centering of their needs without any demands of accountability

Critiques and harsh criticism become “attacks.”

@coreyandreasen @mraspinall No one knows these women but we know just by looking at them that they are innocent- let’s unpack why we got there shall we

How we give certain women the benefit of the doubt when

@coreyandreasen @mraspinall they are grown adult making conscious choices and now the issue being discussed, conveniently and let’s be honest, not suprisingly, is how we can save them and protect their growth and prioritize their education - not their problematic behavior

@coreyandreasen @mraspinall we no longer care that they were problematic because according to Corey they are in innocent and naive and just made an error instead of a conscious choice- convenient- and that shift in narrative means any true dialogue has to give them that presumption otherwise “attack”

@coreyandreasen @mraspinall The fact that our concern is how do they feel and are they growing when #BreonnaTaylor and #ElijahMcClain and #RIPJohnLewis is all I need to know about prioritizes right now
