She has been encountering life & death situations on a daily basis. Ppl need to open up their eyes & pay attention. #ItsOkayToNotBeOkay

2/ This is loss. This is loosing in OT with 38 seconds remaining on the clock, all the MVP players are in, but the other team intercepts and wins. The other team that won? Death. 5 nights in a row I battled the angel of death on someone very close to my age.

3/ 5 nights in a row I climbed on top of the bed in full PPE: gown, 3 masks, a face shield, goggles, and 2 pairs of gloves to physically try to circulate the epinephrine into your heart for it to restart.

4/ I used every ounce of my energy to push all I had into your chest while praying for your heart to restart. When the doctor called time of death I climbed off of your body and ran to the bathroom and I cried. I cried so hard for you, your family, your children.

5/ I cried so hard that my team, my girls, our immaculate team work and the support of physical machines and medications could not save you. Your body was too far gone. I know your presence is in a far better place then the world we are currently experiencing.

I write this not because I need you to apologize. I do not need your empathy. I do not need you to feel sorry... I need YOU TO REALIZE.
I chose this journey as a provider. I chose this battle. I choose this heartache. I chose all these things for you.

7/Just as I pray someone would choose things things for my life. Your life means so much. It means memories and love. You want to believe that coronavirus doesn’t exist? You want to be negligent to your loved ones and yourself?

8/ You want to not wear a mask because it’s hot, it causes you anxiety, you feel suffocated? You want to feel that we’re taking your independence?? I will still give you every single ounce I have to fight for you when your body can no longer fight.

9/ LET ME EDUCATE YOU:::::
Inside our lungs are balloon shaped sacs called alveoli. These alveoli are what exchange gas when you take a breath of oxygen, your alveoli does the exchange and you breathe out carbon dioxide. This is how your body continues to live.

10/ Covid19 penetrates the balloon like sac of the alveoli and destructs it causing the whole cell to die. The human body has 600 million alveoli in the lungs. 600 million. When the alveoli take the impact from this virus, your lungs begin to harden.

11/ You cannot breathe, you cannot exchange the oxygen and carbon dioxide. Your heart will slowly begin to take a hit because your body isn’t oxygenating correctly. You will go into respiratory distress and you will die.

12/ You and I are not invincible.
I cannot win every single battle. But you can protect yourself. I am begging you with everything. Choose to stay home. Choose to wash your hands extra and longer. Choose to wear a mask.

13/ If you want to tell me statistics of death rates that’s fine, I will politely listen to you speak numbers. But when you become a statistical number that your family has to bury your “number” will matter then. #WearAMask #WearYourMaskFL #WearADamnMask #WearAMaskSaveALife
