Now that we've introduced you to Operation Save America, it’s time to meet some key players on their team of haters! First up their leader: Rusty Thomas! #OSAUnmasked
Rusty’s book “Abortion Violation: America's Premier National Security Issue,” has zero Amazon reviews, but Rusty sure has some of his own reviews for “homosexuality”! Every quote is like this. #OSAunmasked
And here's Rusty, basically saying the same awful stuff trying to seem as calm as possible. Seems like he could recite this in his sleep! #OSAunmasked#AbortionIsEssential
The word “holocaust” appears in Rusty’s book 25 times. Not the *actual* Holocaust, but what he calls the “American holocaust” of abortion. If you’re shocked when a state senator says that, don’t be. It’s a mainstream anti-abortion talking point. #OSAunmasked
By the way, for funsies you should know Rusty is a CLASSICALLY TRAINED ACTOR. Maybe that’s why he wears those hats all the time, he’s playing the role of the rugged cowboy when he’s really just a bigot! #OSAunmasked
Another select Rusty quote, “You preach that abortion is murder. But son, you do not live like people are dying.” They treat everything with urgency, so we urgently need YOU to help us UNMASK them! osaunmasked.com#OSAunmasked

For #My40Days, let’s talk about MINDFULNESS about how we discuss abortion with friends, people who've had abortions, your aunt Linda, your dentist, and so on. Let’s start with a big one: why we’ve (mostly) stopped saying “pro-choice.”
We are ALL about letting people have agency over their decisions. So yes, naturally, “pro-choice” works well for that. #My40Days
But we also have to think about who “pro-choice” leaves out. The healthcare system and the WORLD are effed up and create all kinds of barriers for people who want to be parents. So for some people maybe it’s not a “choice” to have an abortion so much as a necessity. #My40Days
#RBG taught us to stand up to sexist ghouls. Now that she's gone, misogynists are twirling their gross mustaches, gearing up to replace her legacy with an anti-abortion extremist!
Said anti-abortion ghouls have started their crusade with a nationwide clinic troll-a-thon called "40 Days for Life." #My40Days
In this annual event, hordes of uninvited Catholic hatesplainers "stand guard" outside of abortion clinics for 40 days and 40 nights. Really, it's just stalking. #My40Days
Badass of the day: Shirley Chisholm! Today is the 49th anniversary of Chisholm entering the Democratic primary, making her the first Black woman to run for president of these United States.
When she ran for Congress, her slogan was “Unbought and unbossed.” She also spoke truth to power when she said, “If you don’t have a seat at the table, bring a folding chair.”
When she was elected to Congress — also the first Black woman to do that — they tried to hide her on the ag committee, which took her away from working for the people who actually elected her. Still she rose.
Although she was obstructed by the head of the Office of Refugee Resettlement (fuck you forever, Scott Lloyd and your creepy period tracking), she did eventually receive her abortion with the help of the @ACLU, activists, and @JanesDueProcess.
So today we thought we’d tweet out her statement from the time as a reminder of why we fight so hard for everyone to get the abortion care they need:
