1\ A friend sent me this from Puerto Rico

The island that has made a career of hyping disaster to get federal aid is trying to claw its way into the COVID-19 headlines

The article below invites readers to believe that PR hospitals will soon run out of capacity

It's nonsense
2\ PR has 3.2 million people but only 180 COVID-19 deaths. On many recent days, they've had zero deaths.

Small wonder, given the relentless tropical sun.

Hospitalizations and deaths are far below national average, and nationally, hospitals are doing just fine
3\ Currently there are only 336 hospitalized for COVID-19 in PR, only 31 in ICU (zero children), and a whopping 20 on ventilator
4\ Puerto Rico has around 808 ICU beds, meaning COVID-19 patients make up an insignificant 3.8% of ICU capacity

There is no COVID-19 crisis in Puerto Rico.

Hospitals are more stressed by flu in a bad year
