It's not an appropriations bill, but it's treated in Washington as a "must-pass bill." This year, Congress is on the verge of passing an NDAA that sets the defense budget at an obscene $740B, which is more than the next 10 countries spend, combined.
The NDAA provides us with a chance to stop Trump from sending more anonymous federal agents into our cities to terrorize people. Congress must stop this slide into authoritarianism.
We are supporting the amendment to the NDAA offered by Oregon senators @SenJeffMerkley and @RonWyden that would require federal agents to first be invited by local jurisdictions, and then require them to be identifiable as they conduct activities.
