Ironically, the value of contentment and relationships over being acquisitive are taken advantage of by greedy businesses because "those unions & socialists are never content, always demanding more!" 3/
When things get really bad with low wages and poor working conditions, historically even the contentment folks decide enough is enough and are willing to join in labor movements. 4/
The values of being willing to pitch in and work hard, take responsibility, and local control match policies like worker cooperatives, cooperative finance over big banks, participatory budgeting and a job guarantee that is federally funded but locally administered. 5/
We can build off of shared values to form a new coalition that overcomes the partisan trench war. Bernie socialists and good neighbor Republicans can ditch the corporate dems and big business Republicans and build something new. #republicansocialism 6/6
