Later today there will be a viral anti-Israel disinformation campaign on Twitter about putting Palestine on the map. It is well organised attack but as usual is based on lies and propaganda. 1/6
The truth is that Palestine would be on the map if the Arabs had declared their own state in 1947, rather than choosing to go to war to destroy the Jewish one. 2/6
And Palestine would exist as a state if between 1949 and 1967 the Arabs had chosen to create a state, rather than just use the West Bank and Gaza as terrorist bases. 3/6
And Palestine would be a state if their leaders had accepted the opportunities to end the conflict on the basis of a two state solution. But instead they chose the violence and terrorism of the Intifada 4/6
So what they chose to do now is just an empty propaganda campaign. If Palestinians want a state, if they want to be 'on the map', then they need to negotiate their way to peace. With peace comes statehood. But they want you to believe they have no agency. 5/6
Nothing is their fault. Not the wars they started, deals they rejected or bombs they planted.
