#Lockdown forced me to unlock a treasure (for me) of #AeroIndia Photographs right from the inaugural event in 1996. When a camera was still a luxury from my perspective, all these were borrowed from a good 'friend'!! Lucky to get close to the metal birds!!
In front of a Su-30!! From the 1998 edition crowds were not allowed near the aircrafts.
#AeroIndia 1998 was a "tear-jerker" of sorts. Rain played spoilsport. Many air displays were cancelled. Photographs were shot on point and shoot camera. Objective was to click anything that looked like and flew like a plane! Just for our memories. Absolutely no photography skills
#AeroIndia 2001 Some snaps of MiG-27, Tornado & Surya Kirans. MiG-27 and Tornado were fighters of the 1970s!
Continuing with #AeroIndia2001 here are two big birds, IL-76 and C-130 Hercules. Apart from that I am in front of Tejas LCA (not sure if it was a model). Models (not sure again) of Akash and Prithvi missiles were also part of the show.
#AeroIndia2001 Finally, the 'ALH Air Ambulance' as it was called then. Absolutely no clue on this Helicopter's status today.
Some memories from #AeroIndia2003 edition. MiG-27, MiG-21 Bison, Jaguar & the Searcher UAV!
Moving to #AeroIndia2005 Bright clicks of me in front of Su-30 MKI & MiG-29, Jaguar & F-15 Eagle.
Continuing with #AeroIndia2005 the LCA scale model from the stalls, the Intermediate Jet Trainer (IJT), Prithvi missile and the MiG-21.
#AeroIndia2007 featured many aircrafts. Some of them -
F-16, MiG-35, Hornet & Gripen - were in the 126 numbers MMRCA competition which was gaining momentum.
#AeroIndia2007 Other aircrafts: LCA, Mirage-2000, IJT & the Su-30 MKI. IJT was involved in a mishap at the show which had paused the show for a while.
Back to 2020 as per this report by @ShivAroor HAL’s IJT should have started crucial spin trials by now!

#AeroIndia2009 Lot of aircrafts featured at this edition. Here are the MiG-27 UPG with its rocket launcher and the Mirage 2000. Not sure though whether the armaments are real.
#AeroIndia2009 Here are the MiG-21 Bison, The Hawk, Mi-35 Heptr and the Jaguar.
#AeroIndia2009 There was the Su-30 MKI in saffron/White/Green colour scheme, Eurofighter Typhoon, MiG-29 & the Hornet!
#AeroIndia2009 The F-16 alongside the LCA and a Vintage Aircraft the name of which I am not aware!
#AeroIndia2009 Finally I had captured this MiG-21 Bison with the R-73 missile. Who knew then that this aircraft and this missile would go on to create history. Yes, it is the same aircraft and the same missile which downed the F-16 post #Balakot strikes.
