India's Business Standard newspaper (@bsindia) has caused outrage by publishing a misleading attack (paid for by the pesticide industry!) on both civil society activists and public sector research bodies & their scientists who've raised questions about the safety of its products.
@bsindia The pesticide industry in its advertorial published a picture of @kkuruganti under a heading that falsely implies she's a "foreign-funded" activist "paid to malign Indian agriculture", in a clear—and dangerous!—attempt to stir up nationalist feeling against the industry's critics
