If you’re new here, Care Net is a fake clinic network. Fake clinics exist exclusively to shame people out of abortions, usually by buying pregnant people one (1) baby blanket. They set up shop near real abortion clinics and are a huge menace. #ExposeFakeClinics
Fake clinics put up signs to trick patients into thinking they’re real clinics. Then they love to get you alone, so they can lie and tell you abortion causes breast cancer. Did we mention they wear white coats like real doctors? #ExposeFakeClinics
There are less than 810 abortion clinics in the United States. Care Net alone has 1,100 FAKE CLINICS. They’re franchising lying to pregnant people and just getting away with it. What are they, Chick-Fil-A? exposefakeclinics.com#ExposeFakeClinics
Now, during a pandemic, Care Net is hosting the “largest pregnancy center conference in the nation” at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin resort. We’re not trying to find out if swans and dolphins can get #COVID here! @WaltDisneyWorld#ExposeFakeClinics
We always say “THAT’S NOT VERY PRO-LIFE!” but this really takes the cake. They’re endangering themselves, their families, hotel staff, and Floridians, just so they can learn the hottest white coats fashion trends for fake doctors. #ExposeFakeClinics
These hypocrites are gonna get people killed, all in the name of their dishonest mission. Yet again, the worst people in the world are holding the rest of us hostage. #ExposeFakeClinics
But there’s something you can do! Our friends @reproaction have a petition to shut this shit down! Sign it to tell these fools you can’t call yourself “pro-life” while also being anti-mask, anti-science, and anti-COMMON-FUCKING-SENSE! #ExposeFakeClinicsactionnetwork.org/petitions/care…

For #My40Days, let’s talk about MINDFULNESS about how we discuss abortion with friends, people who've had abortions, your aunt Linda, your dentist, and so on. Let’s start with a big one: why we’ve (mostly) stopped saying “pro-choice.”
We are ALL about letting people have agency over their decisions. So yes, naturally, “pro-choice” works well for that. #My40Days
But we also have to think about who “pro-choice” leaves out. The healthcare system and the WORLD are effed up and create all kinds of barriers for people who want to be parents. So for some people maybe it’s not a “choice” to have an abortion so much as a necessity. #My40Days
#RBG taught us to stand up to sexist ghouls. Now that she's gone, misogynists are twirling their gross mustaches, gearing up to replace her legacy with an anti-abortion extremist!
Said anti-abortion ghouls have started their crusade with a nationwide clinic troll-a-thon called "40 Days for Life." #My40Days
In this annual event, hordes of uninvited Catholic hatesplainers "stand guard" outside of abortion clinics for 40 days and 40 nights. Really, it's just stalking. #My40Days
Badass of the day: Shirley Chisholm! Today is the 49th anniversary of Chisholm entering the Democratic primary, making her the first Black woman to run for president of these United States.
When she ran for Congress, her slogan was “Unbought and unbossed.” She also spoke truth to power when she said, “If you don’t have a seat at the table, bring a folding chair.”
When she was elected to Congress — also the first Black woman to do that — they tried to hide her on the ag committee, which took her away from working for the people who actually elected her. Still she rose.
Although she was obstructed by the head of the Office of Refugee Resettlement (fuck you forever, Scott Lloyd and your creepy period tracking), she did eventually receive her abortion with the help of the @ACLU, activists, and @JanesDueProcess.
So today we thought we’d tweet out her statement from the time as a reminder of why we fight so hard for everyone to get the abortion care they need:
