Quite an interesting discussion between D'Alema and @BillClinton on Kosovo, shortly before the beginning of NATO's air campaign. D'Alema here says that the West need to think through the consequences of this action.
In particular, he is worried that NATO's attack will trigger Serb retaliation against Kosovo Albanians, leading to indiscriminate killing and an exodus of refugees. 
Clinton says: we need to strike because we said we would. By the way, this highlights the importance of credibility to any discussion of US/NATO action in the Balkans.
In the end, D'Alema was right in the sense that the Serbs did lash out against the Albanians in the days after the commencement of the strikes. There was a lot of indiscriminate killing. He understated the number of Albanian refugees (over 700K).
