Daddy, I want a LiveWire!
(13) We’re blasting along at warp speed on board the world’s first fully electric production series

It doesn't develop power like a traditional motorcycle.

It provides its 86 ft-lbs of max torque throughout its speed range.

All you hear is the wind!

(17) Now let's get back to what it means to have 86 ft-lbs of torque available in your low speed range. Conventional reciprocating engines only develop peak torque as they gain speed. This means excellent initial acceleration.

(55) It's true that riding a motorcycle is slightly more dangerous than riding in a car, but it provides unfiltered sunlight, open air, arm, core & leg exercise and a calorie burn. Being a sedan potato is dangerous too.

You may enjoy the exhilaration of the open road; many do.
(56) Its true, motorcycles are more dangerous than automobiles with 6 times higher fatality rates per 100,000 drivers, but both these numbers are very low if you look at survival rates.

Motorcycles: 60/yr per 100,000, 99.94% Survival
Automobiles: 10/yr per 100,000, 99.99%
(57) The relative risks should be seen in light of other activities, too.

The table below shows that you are less likely to die riding a motorcycle than to die as a pedestrian victim of a motor vehicle accident.

Should we stop walking near roads? Perhaps.
(58) The table is a bit misleading, because different numbers of people participate in different situations.

There are many more automobile drivers than motorcycle drivers, which was captured in the per capita data. This table makes motorcycling seem safer than driving.
(59) A lot of people are back on Main Street after a cool morning ride in the Black Hills. It's reached 80° F, so it's time to settle in for a cool growler of Gorilla Beer.

(71) All Eyes Turn to Meade and Lawrence Counties in South Dakota (Central West Edge), hosts to the 2020 Sturgis Rally, to see if COVID-19 Cases are on the rise.
(72) In Meade County before the Rally, Daily COVID-19 Case rates were extremely low, but they have risen in the last 14d to 2.6/d.
(73) Neighboring Lawrence County also had an extremely low Daily Case rate that has risen over the past 14 days to 4.0/d (15/d per 100,000).
(74) Very sparsely populated Butte County, SD to the north (pop. of ~12,000), has also seen cases rise over the last 14d, but only to 1.0/d (9.6/d per 100,000).
(75) So Sturgis was ideal location in terms of its very low COVID-19 infection density when the rally began, but having 250,000 to 500,000 people poor in from regions with much higher infection densities was really a worst case for Sturgis locals.
(76) Together, Meade, Lawrence and Butte have seen their cases rise to 7.6/d (11.6/d per 100,000). The combined population of the three counties is about 65,000.
(77) According to the @IHME_UW Mobility Index, activity in South Dakota has been elevated beyond pre-outbreak levels for over a month, and this is before the Sturgis Rally even started.
(78) The rt.live Effective Reproduction Rate (Rt) for South Dakota was also already showing signs of exponential growth prior to the rally.

(118) Since the Sturgis rally began, local hospitals have performed 1,521 COVID-19 tests w/90 positives (5.9%), but “fewer than 10” of those positives were from out-of-state rally attendants.

COVID-19 cases could take up to another two weeks to surface.
