This article is the bomb💣🧨💣

If you want an excellent overview of global politics, the players, the plays and goals, the problems we face and where economic and social progress post COVid is pointing, read this article.

Some is good news. Neoliberalism has been summarily debunked as inadequate. Austerity is not what is needed. Privatization and free markets are a disaster.
Some is not so good news. The rise of authoritarianism and government controlled capitalism that exacerbates inequality, like China and Russia, are on the rise.

This reveals Canadian conservatives and GOP Republicans are moving in this direction.
The far right’s extremism, policies and continued adherence to austerity, privatization and free market culture and disaster capitalism reveals this is the autocratic trajectory being imposed upon North America. There is no doubt. Conservative provinces can confirm this trend.
A very troubling development is surveillance capitalism and China’s Social Credit system. This capacity is being expanded throughout the globe. If progressives hand power over to the far right by refusing to form solidarity, privacy and private thoughts will be a lost freedom.
This has got to be one of the best articles I’ve ever read that captures the various trouble areas and who is creating the trouble.

It’s long. To understand it entirely, you may need to read it over a few times.
But if you want to know what’s going on and what’s at stake, you will read it and keep it handy for reference.

Autocrats are attempting to destroy democracy and control populations thoughts and behaviour with sophisticated technology.
Conservatives (aka the new autocrats) have abandoned democracy and are moving civilization towards global totalitarian control.

By no means is this excusing the far left. Who continue to sow doubt and demoralization regarding liberalism.
A purer form of socialism (closer to communism) is being touted as the only ideology that can redistribute wealth and save the vulnerable from continued exploitation and suffering. Sanders, Corbyn and Singh all fall in this category.
The far left has also abandoned democracy, liberalism and moderation. For a stricter adherence to socialist ideals, under the guise of democratic socialism.
China presents itself as socialist and communist. Yet this article reveals they have ultimately adopted totalitarian state controlled capitalism.

State owned industries and huge economic inequity are the feature.

I don’t think the far left sees the danger in their ideology.
We are on a precipice. COVid has knocked the global economy into tail spin.

There are leaders who want to increase the role of government through regulation and investment.

We need to keep those leaders in power.
These are the revolutionary systemic changes Trudeau refers to and I’m certain economic stimulus will include many huge transitions.

Much like the CSSG. A hybrid of public, private, voluntary sector partnerships that meet stakeholder needs, not shareholder needs.
But we need to be open to change and open to doing things differently.

We cannot allow far left and far right to derail innovative new ways of doing business and shaping our economy and communities.
It should be obvious after reading this article why CPC and NDP are working so hard to discredit LPC and WE Charity. Out of all the programs implemented by LPC, this one was targeted and viciously used to attack and discredit.
For what? Ideological adherence.

WE Charity embodies the moderate liberalist choice forward. It’s a blend of private and charitable (voluntary sector) enterprise. And was combined with public partnership to increase benefit to several stakeholders.
Students, voluntary sector, private social enterprise, and the communities that benefitted from dedicated volunteers during an emergency pandemic.

That’s stakeholder investment. Multiple beneficiaries. Economic benefits for all three sectors & broader community.
That is the vision coming from LPC. That’s what CPC and NDP worked so hard to destroy. It’s moderate, democratic, beneficial, liberalist and progressive.

That’s choosing forward.
If you voted for LPC, or considered voting for them, recognize the innovation and dedication to broader social and economic goals.

NDP would have left voluntary sector on their own. Essentially they have by destroying the program and accusing WE & LPC of crimes.
NDP just wanted grant money distributed to students with no strings attached. Socialists are morally opposed to voluntary labour. That’s why they support UBI. Everyone should have a basic income for all their unpaid labour. Everyone should be treated exactly the same.
CPC would have bypassed the CSSG altogether. Or put the money into business owners hands to hire students. Benefitting the private sector only and the few students who could access the program. Again, no consideration for voluntary sector and people who depend upon it for care.
CPC believes voluntary labour should be a personal choice. Only paid labour that generates profit for business owners should be compensated. The voluntary sector is left to beg for resources from those inclined to donate their time or money.
Those are the ideological choices we face in Canadian politics. Shaped by global politics that many don’t understand or pay attention to.

We can choose tried and true socialism. The results across the globe are available. Some socialist nations have fared better than others.
Or we can choose conservatives whose main goal is the elimination of liberalism and installation of autocratic control and to maintain the disparities in advantage and wealth.
We know what we will get from each party. Ideological rigidity and limited innovation.

Or we could choose LPC and their bold innovative plans to broaden stakeholder investment and benefits.

The choice is ours.
