"Modernity" has pushed an infantilization of society, where a person is useless at 18 and often even at 21.

21 years of life and 15 years of education renders him or her "unemployable". useless to do anything. It is worse in India with English-medium.

This is also false, maybe so for a diseased Western society. All the ashrams in India are based on notions of shatayu, 100-year old lifespans. They were not all hallucinating. Need more data.

We project history of ignorant Europe as world history.

I think the state of Indian society after 100-150 years of British rule is not a good indicator. Many of the institutions of health and well-being had been destroyed by that time.
