Data is probably one of, if not the most valuable commodity to the Police but if you are unable to comply with basic privacy legislation how can you possibly expect members of the public to trust you with their data?
I'm also disappointed at the

whose response on this was that of course you were breaking the law but they didn't have the time or resource to help so I'd have to launch a private prosecution.
