1 - Despite the fact that the @Alberta_UCP and @jkenney campaigned on what they claimed were morality and ethics, their creation of the @CDNEnergyCentre has shown that what they’ve brought to Alberta is anything but...

#abpoli #ableg #cdnpoli
2 - We forwarded our discovery to (among others) the Ethics Commissioner, hoping that the Office of the Ethics Commissioner would be able to do something to force some ethical behavior from @jkenney and his @Alberta_UCP.

We were wrong.

#abpoli #ableg #cdnpoli
3 - It seems there’s no doubt that @jkenney, the @UCPCaucus and the @Alberta_UCP have misled Albertans as to what their real values are, because they certainly appear to have grossly compromised what they claimed they stood for.

#abpoli #ableg #cdnpoli
4 - The Ethics Commissioner seems powerless to stop the UCP’s hypocrisy and manipulation.

So...

Since @jkenney and the @Alberta_UCP seem to be so fond of opinion pieces, we wanted to end this segment with one.

And it’s one you won’t want to miss.

5 - The full version of this video is available at , and this is one that we are going to ask you to share.

Because like we said, the powers that be have made it clear, it’s up to Albertans to demand better from our government.

This is important.

Yesterday saw the UCP roll out this new order in council.

There's three things this order attempts to define.

1) What counts as a political party during a referendum
2) Who can appoint scrutineers
3) How quickly do we get results

/1 Image
The Order appears to lock down who gets to be considered a political party during a referendum.

If you don't have at least 4 seats in the legislature and your party didn't get at least 5% of the vote, you are not considered a party during a referendum.

/2 Image
This is further underscored by this section.

Because where do you find the requirements of what counts as a political party?

The EFCDA.

New separatism poll!

Angus Reid has released part 1 of a three parter, and there’s a lot to unpack, but it’s the next two tweets in the thread you REALLY want to read!

These are the most compelling arguments for staying in Canada that resonate with Albertans.

This is what everyone should be using to talk to their friends and family.

These are the arguments that resonate with the “leave” group.

Understanding these issues is key to being able to have conversations and address concerns effectively.

New Leger poll!

And it turns out the biggest loser in the teachers strike is the UCP!

Let’s take a look!

/1

#abpoli #ableg #cdnpoli Image
To start with, how closely were Albertans paying attention to the strike?

A whopping 74%!

That’s a lot of Albertan eyeballs and ear… balls?

/2 Image
And what are the takeaways?

47% of Albertans opposed the government tabling legislation to force teachers back to work, of that 35% strongly opposed it.

Only 20% strongly supported this move by the UCP.

Today on "Danielle Smith lies a lot and very, very easily about unimportant details just to make a story sound better..."

Earlier today she tweeted out this picture, claiming that it was from the opening of a new recovery community...

#abpoli #ableg #cdnpoli Image
It seems weird that you would have a crowd that big for a recovery community opening...

Especially when it appears to be in downtown Calgary.

Where they haven't opened any recovery communities.

But that's where this note gets to be important.

/2 Image
Because it turns out that "Cameron" was a performer at a street festival held for "Recovery Day", who is kinda big deal in the country music community, having just been nominated for 6 awards at the Canadian Country Music Association Awards and winning 2.

Today, the @albertandp had quite the get!

A briefing memo on the future of pharmacare for Albertans.

If you’re expecting Smith to deliver on her promises of “we’ll opt out of the federal program to make pharmacare better”…

This ain’t it.

Especially if you’re a senior.

/1 Image
So what are the coles notes?

Basically, the UCP seem to be believing that seniors have access to meds that prevent health conditions from getting worse is just costing too darn much.

So what if, just like the did with AISH, they create a new program where seniors get less!

/2 Image
The proposal is to get rid of all the separate programs that exist to care for people with different needs and means and just create a single one that is income tested against seniors and their families!

What could go wrong?

(Obviously lots)

Since Smith and the UCP have announced a delayed deadline for the first “CorruptCare” investigation report…

We thought it might be fun to offer up a mini-report tonight!

So strap in, cause this gets wild!

/1 Image
Today, the Globe & Mail dropped a story about two characters who have had their toes in both AHS MHCare waters.

Allegedly, Jitendra Prasad was working both sides of the fence when Alberta Surgical Group was trying to get new contracts after being turned down.

/2 Image
Even more intriguing, the report allegedly also claims that Blayne Iskiw, who was later hired by MHCare pushed through contract terms that were above and beyond what his coworkers believed should have been offered.
