After yesterday's #RepealAB5 vote, I wanted to share the names of some Legislators who were there on the floor but did something worse than vote against the repeal, THEY REFUSED TO VOTE AT ALL. Thread coming.
First up is @ChristyforCA25! We all remember Christy for voting twice for #AB5, only to go down in flames during her Congressional run. She's running again, so the community needs to remind her again why she lost.
Next, we have @VoteCottie, the freshman Orange County Assemblywoman locked in a tight reelection race, time to send someone to Sacramento to vote, not take walks on votes!
.@Cervantes4Asm has had tough campaigns and likes to say she's committed to #GettingThingsDone for Riverside County and #AD60, someone should tell her abstaining doesn't get anything done.
This one genuinely surprises me, @GrayForAssembly was an ally and voted No against #AB5, gotta wonder why he didn't this time?
.@rudysalasjr also refused to vote on #RepealAB5, he has spent his legislative career trying to define himself as a moderate Central Valley Democrat but walked away when it mattered most.
Lastly, we have @AsmShirleyWeber, this is simply no surprise, if she hadn't skipped, I'm sure she would have voted no.
To recap, @ChristyforCA25 in #CA25, @VoteCottie in #AD74, @Cervantes4Asm in #AD60, @GrayForAssembly in #AD21, @rudysalasjr in #AD32 and @AsmShirleyWeber in #AD79 refused to vote on the #RepealAB5 bill yesterday. People should ask why Legislators didn't do their job and vote.
