Nur falls jemand noch nicht mitbekommen hat, wie irrwitzig der republikanische Wahlkampf mittlerweile ist - letzte Woche in Minnesota sagte Trump, dass die Wirtschaftskrise durch Corona ein Test Gottes sei - für ihn speziell. Das ist die Geschichte, die er dann erzählt:
"You know what that is? That's right. That's God testing me. He said, You know, you did it once. And I said, 'Did I do a great job, God? I'm the only one who could do it.' He said that you shouldn't say. Now we're going to have you do it again. I said, 'OK. I agree. You got me.'
Nur um das wirklich klar zu machen: in seiner eigenen Story, die er auf ein Wahlkampfveranstaltung erzählt, war Trump Gott gegenüber so ein Angeber, dass der als Antwort Corona schickt, um ihm beizubringen, dass man das nicht macht. Es ist unfassbar.
