She was also preparing her docs to apply for DACA in 2017 before the admin ended the program. After the SCOTUS victory, she submitted an application. She’s fighting for herself & her children. 6/
@MaketheRoadNY @WiracYls @DHSgov @DHS_Wolf MBF is a recent high school graduate who also applied for DACA for the first time this summer. Certain immigrant youth can only become eligible for DACA at age 15, and MBF was too young to apply when Trump first tried to end the program in 2017. 7/
@MaketheRoadNY @WiracYls @DHSgov @DHS_Wolf Sonia Molina is a current #DACA recipient who applied for renewal right before the @DHSgov memo. While she expected her renewal to last two years, she will now instead receive DACA for only one year and have to save up to pay again months from now, before her one year expires. 8/
@MaketheRoadNY @WiracYls @DHSgov @DHS_Wolf Let’s be clear: This memo from @DHSgov was another cruel and divisive move that upends the lives of over a million immigrant youth while Trump continues to scheme to dismantle #DACA. With our brave plaintiffs and co-counsel, we are fighting back.
