1/👋Hello from 1 of the people that @ToddSmithPC referred to as "questioning this & spreading misinformation" with regard to whether or not students in group homes will be allowed to attend school IN PERSON.Throw shade Todd but the question remains. @Shawn_Jeffords #onpoli #ONDP
2/Days away from school year start yet students,families & agencies have NO clear direction from gov as to whether in person,in school learning is allowed for students living in group homes. I've seen the emails from agencies,I've received the calls,I've listened to the families.
3/Uncertainty is tied to current visitor & off site restrictions for residents of congregate care. Pls stop spinning this as spreading misinformation & laying this on students,families & agencies with valid concerns & issue a clear directive. You insulted families @ToddSmithPC
4/Students with disabilities that are living in group homes, their families & agencies that support them anxiously await a response to the specific question of in school learning. I'm sure an apology for accusing some folks of spreading misinformation would be welcomed as well.
5/ Also, if students living in group homes are allowed to attend school in person, the expectation is that the harsh visitor restrictions will be lifted in congregate care settings & residents will immediately have meaningful access to their caregivers. What say you @ToddSmithPC?
6/ Let's work together on this Todd. Vulnerable people & their families are counting on it. Start with implementing the calls to action outlined in my essential caregiver motion as well as by providing families & agencies the clarification they need about this school year.
