Says the person responsible for $1 billion heartless cut to women & children fleeing domestic violence, child protection,social assistance, ppl with disabilities & family responsibility office as PCs waste about $1 billion on what the premier calls “freeing the beer.” @RealKiefer 
PCs spending more than the previous Liberal gov yet are slashing funding to healthcare,education,children’s services,domestic violence supports, the list goes on. How are they spending more while cutting vital public services you ask?
They’re giving their friends & PC insiders cushy jobs with big salaries & wage increases.They’re ripping up legally binding contracts & spending vast amounts of your money on penalties & legal fees.Need I mention the solely focussed PC propaganda taxpayer funded Ontario News Now?
Add to that the PC tax breaks for the wealthiest people & corporations in Ont. while rolling back minimum wage increases,protected sick & domestic violence leave days,basic income,social assistance increase,injured workers protections etc.
PCs shortsighted rush to privatize public assets while irresponsibly spending on penalties/legal fees,well connected friends,PC insiders & helping out the wealthiest among us creates both a revenue & a spending problem driving up the deficit/debt as the public gets fewer services
Tommy Douglas believed in & fought for publicly owned,publicly funded & publicly delivered healthcare for ALL people,people before profit.NOT the privatized for profit, cash for access,front of the line system the PCs are setting up for only the wealthiest people in our province.
Tommy Douglas is considered the greatest Canadian because he actually believed in a government for the people. One that truly had the people’s best interest at heart.He listened to ALL people not just the people that stroked his ego or could pay to have a moment of his time.
He ushered in universal healthcare so ALL people could access medical care,not just those that were financially well off.He believed in investing in ALL people,not just those that told him what he wanted to hear or had the most money.He believed in public good not buck a beer.
So hey @MacLeodLisa,here’s a truth bomb for you sister.Trying to use Tommy Douglas to sell your cuts,privatization,austerity,attack on the most vulnerable people while catering to the wealthiest/well connected,free the beer agenda, makes you look out of touch,desperate & so extra
If you think that writing an opinion piece & referencing Tommy validates you while discrediting @AndreaHorwath & the NDP, I suggest you to get off of your moral high horse,get comfy on the couch,turn on the movie Mouseland, maybe enjoy a buck a beer & do some soul searching.
When you figure out if you & your PC colleagues are the white cats or the black cats let me know. I’ll be over here with the rest of the mice working on policies that actually make life better for everyone, even the cats.
One last truth bomb @MacLeodLisa, you could only hope to be a mere fraction of the incredible leader that Tommy Douglas was. Referencing him to try to build yourself up makes my point. #ONPoli #ONDP
