Most people have recently started a new business online or have had to adapt to the change and situation to move their business online. There are key important factors that one must note before getting too comfortable with being online.
Firstly - Know your Target Audience - Your Customers. Where are they and what are they saying / doing.
Being online isn't about just having an account opened and updated. Engage!!! Understand your audience. Have a conversation with them too.
NOT all platforms is for you. Choose your platforms based on your customers needs and business needs.
DO NOT hard sell. Instead focus on creating an experience. There's always something unique.
Remember online is in a way (not considering budgets of course) creating a level ground for you and your competitors even the longtime in business competition. Its your hard-work and focus that will give you an edge.
Many say "do it online, its cheaper." Fam, its NOT! be ready to spend. Being online doesn't miraculously make you successful.
MOST IMPORTANT - BE RESPONSIVE. Have a contact you can be reached on. Email, WhatsApp, Calls, DM - just be responsive. Return all missed calls. Reply all messages. Be prepared to work long and off hours too.
Do not rely only on social media alone. Have your own platform where you can build a loyal audience. Think mobile first in your approach and think responsiveness.
Not sure if I should continue further as the next steps are a bit deeper and more of a strategic approach on case to case.... with examples of course.... oh well.. Lets see if this helps first!! 😃
