In a beautiful narration found in the collection of Imam al-Tabarani, the Prophet (ﷺ) passed by a bedouin man who was making dua in his prayer. The Prophet (ﷺ) stopped to listen as the man called out to Allah.

The man said, “Oh, the One whom eyes can not see in this world and minds cannot comprehend His Greatness. People can not praise Him as He deserves to be praised.

The situations which occur in this world do not change Allah and He does not fear the passing of time. Allah knows the exact weight of all the mountains of the world and the exact volume of all the oceans.

He knows the exact number of drops of rain that fall from the sky and the exact number of leaves on all the trees in the entire world. Allah knows every detail of everything that the night hides in its darkness, and the day illuminates with its light.

One sky can not shield another sky from Allah, one layer of the ground can not shield another from Him. The ocean in its depths and darkness can not hide anything from Allah. A mountain in its deepest darkest cave can not hide anything from Him.”

The man then said, “Oh Allah, make the best part of my life the last part of my life. Make the best of my actions the last of my actions. Make the best of my days, the day that I will come back and meet You.”

يا مَنْ لا تَراهُ العُيُوْنُ، وَلاتُخَالِطُهُ الظُّنُوْنُ، وَلا يَصِفُهُ الوَاصِفُوْنَ، وَلا تُغَيِّرُهُ الحَوَادِثُ، وَلا يَخْشَى الدَّوَائِرَ، يَعْلَمُ مَثَاقِيْلَ الجِبَالِ، وَ مَكَايِيْلَ البِحَارِ، وَ عَدَدَ قَطْرِ الأَمْطَارِ، وَ عَدَدَ وَرَقِ الأَشْجَارِ،

وَ عَدَدَ ما أَظْلَمَ عَلَيْهِ اللَّيْلُ، وَ أَشْرَقَ عَلَيْهِ النَّهارُ، لا تُوارِي مِنْهُ سَمَاءٌ سَمَاءً، وَلا أَرْضٌ أَرْضًا، وَلا بَحْرٌ ما فِي قَعْرِهِ، وَلا جَبَلٌ ما فِي وَعْرِهِ،

اجْعَلْ خَيْرَ عُمْرِي آخِرَهُ، وَ خَيْرَ عَمَلِي خَواتِمَهُ، وَ خَيْرَ أَيَّامِي يَوْمَ أَلْقَاكَ فِيْهِ.

When the man completed his prayer, the Prophet (ﷺ) appreciated and approved of how beautifully he had spoken about Allah. SubhanAllah.
