Time to be highly Alert :
If Chinese Army came with Spears and sticks, it's not because it doesn't have rifles, it's because it wanted to. This is the same Army which has one the most sophisticated arsenal in the world. Yesterday stunt, IMO:
1. Guage India's defences, locations..
..reaction time etc. Most importantly, how far they let the enemy come before they take action. Getting IA to fire, was a great achievement on part of Chinese.
2. PR exercise. Since yesterday Chinese media is busy propagating how it was just patrolling the area and Indian ...
..forces fired upon them. The image is soldiers without rifles helps their case.
3. Reaction from county. China very minutely judges Indian media and public’s response to any action. It’s media immediately catches on to things it can exploit to start anti gov propaganda ...
..to weaken our resolve to fight and create confusion. It’s great to see how Most of India stands behind its soldiers and armed forces.

And, now is the time to highly alert. Chinese counter attack will come very soon. They have been massively surprised by our pro active...
..actions to capture heights in the South #Pangong area. But it will not be easily digested by them. They will try and evict us before we turn these into permanent defences.

China and India both understand each other’s reluctance to start a full scale war. Hence both have ..
..certain room to exploit each others’ weaknesses without scaling the aggression level.
If China does not vacate us, and winter sets in, this will become the new normal. And we will have a solid control of these heights by the time next summers come. So if China has to try..
..it will be now.
In my opinion, there is a very high probability of a local skirmish. Both sides should be ready to bear losses. Violence is nasty business. The continuous failure of talks is taking us only in one direction. For China it is very critical because it...
Survives on bullying and scare tactics. If it loses to India on this, without as much as making an effort, the tables will turn against this bully within few months and Asia will see many new alliances coming up. It cannot lose face and reputation like that. Matter of image and..
..existence. So whatever they are planning, will come soon! Mostly within next two months as US will be exceptionally busy with elections and world is busy fighting COVID.
Let’s hope for the best and always stand with our brave soldiers. Jai Hind!
#IndiaChinaFaceOff #IndianArmy
For everyone saying , rifles are visible , try and get the bigger picture plz. And again, I just realised I’ll have to explain this to the same lot. By bigger picture I don’t mean a bigger frame of this picture. I mean bigger perspective.

Weekend Reading-Know your Missiles - MBDA’s Meteor beyond-visual-range air-to-air missile

There has been a lot of talk about Meteor, a deadly new weapon in India’s arsenal. This thread is meant to simplify to laymen like me as to why it’s so special.
Some basic data :
Length : 12 ft
Weight : 190 Kg
Range : beyond 100 Kms. No escape zone of 60 Kms.
Speed : 4 Mach plus
Cost : approx 18-20 crores each
Guidance system : Inertial guidance, mid-course update via datalink, terminal active radar homing
The need for next Gen missile with superior range and overall improved kinematic performance arose in mid 90s to combat the US’s AIM-120 AMRAAM.
For sake of European air space UK, France, Sweden, Germany, Italy and Spain participated in the programme.

The most common word you’ll hear next to ‘Intelligence’ is - Failure ! It gives all involved and also scholars and domain specialists special joy and alibi to pin down everything on Intelligence community because being a silent partner, there will never be a comeback from them.
And it is not because they cannot reply, it’s because they will not. To give any kind of justification means presenting information that’s meant to be shared only with the highest echelons. Also, there are more intelligence setups in India than one can imagine. And they all ..
Work very diligently, risking their lives and well being, in many cases reputation and family life, to get the job done. It takes a lot of effort from enemy to bypass these efforts of fine men and women who keep anti India forces on their toes. But yes, at times there ..

A brilliant description and clear statement from @detresfa_ on the Galwan valley situation, based on all open source reports (Media and Experts ). Couple of things worth noticing according to this image :
1. The difference in LAC perception of various sources. Goes to say that
..that your analysis of ingress inwards is totally dependent on where you perceive LAC. Just to claim that Chinese have entered deep inside you’ll have to push LAC behind.
2. Declaration of NTRO as reported via Hindu, that the Helipad was built by India, as was also confirmed by
..Chinese video, images and report last week. Proves that Indian troops had taken over PP14 area at some point.
3. The biggest point - <<Pay Attention >> The Chinese have so far followed the LAC as shown on Google map. The fight that took place on the PP14 location is outside

Image by @detresfa_ showing some development coming up in the PP14 area. It’s very interesting development and concerning because of the fact that even though this is epicentre of clash and casualties for them, they are in no mood to leave it. Rather reinforce !
Here’s a zoomed and contrasted image. The small walls are visible even to an untrained eye on Sat imaging .
Someone said this could be Indian construction. I have my doubts because of following reasons :
1. Indian Army does not have any pink tents or camouflage
2. There is no road or bridge leading to the location from india side. Whereas compete access from Chinese side
