So guess what's up? Another #Kissmatewatches of Xena and Herc, that's what! So strap in your leather and vests, cause here we go!

#Kissmatewatches Xena Episode Five: The Path Not Taken
Xena goes to save a princess to stop a war, but meets an old flame that could ruin her plans. She lies to him, but he sees through her plans at the last moment. The villain kills him as he saves the princess, one act of good.

#Kissmatewatches Let me start off with an aside:
LUCY LAWLESS IS GODDAMNED FLAWLESS.
Her kicking the asses of men who dare think they can comment however they want about her? *SWOON*
AND THOSE LEGS! *chef kiss*

#Kissmatewatches Gabi isn't the most bright this episode, but to her credit the guards weren't very clear. They never read off her rights, nor told her she was under arrest. She genuinely thought they were taking her to see the king. I blame the lack of communication.

#Kissmatewatches Seeing Xena as she was back in her old days was interesting. Even though she's changed sides, she's still just as clever and ruthless a character. Now she uses those skills for good. It's better than her suddenly being naïve and over-trusting, like some media do.

#Kissmatewatches The old flame is a Black man named Marcus. They kiss, they talk sweet, and they clearly have a strong respect for one another. They talk like equals and friends, even to the end. He longed to do good, but couldn't find the strength to do it like Xena.

#Kissmatewatches He died taking that one step towards good she said he was capable of, but he said he wasn't strong enough to do. It was heartbreaking to see him die, in the good acting and good writing way. Xena even sings his funeral song! Oh, I cried.

#Kissmatewatches This was a great episode to see how Xena's resolve to do good is beyond strong. She had every chance to go back and do some sweet money grabbing, but she was willing to go above and beyond to help the princess and stop a war. And that meant more than gold.

#Kissmatewatches Xena Episode Six: The Reckoning
Xena is mistaken to be a murderer, while the real murderer turns out to be Ares. Her mentor. He offers her the world, but she refuses to give in. She cleverly gets him to prove her innocence and walk away with a clear name.

#Kissmatewatches This is my favorite Ares depiction. He is clever, attractive, war-hungry, patient, deceptive, and proud. He can send people into a rage, or make them feel safe and powerful. He wants to take over with an iron fist, but is willing to help those who need it most.

#Kissmatewatches I would finish off tonight with Hercules, but I need to sleep tonight a bit early, so I'll make up for it tomorrow. Good night, all!
