I was in a small crowd of commuters that watched the first twin tower collapse from the ferry landing in Weehawken, NJ with my 3-week-old in my arms. My mom and I were still trying to get to NYC for a pediatrician appointment when the ferry returned & the ferry staffer yelled (1)

"Go home, people! The subways are closed. Why are you trying to go to work? Go home!" Then we watched the tower collapse. It was all so surreal and incomprehensible on that sunny, gorgeous day, the beginning of so much grief and sadness for many months to come. Yet, today (2)

we are seeing the equivalent number of untimely deaths from COVID every 2-3 days in our country, as if the twin towers were collapsing every other day as Trump spends all his time golfing, watching Fox News & having rallies that are superspreader events. Why aren't we all (3)

out on the street every day demanding his immediate resignation along w/Pence?

I think it's because this is another attack on America that's so out of our normal frame of reference, so callous & immoral, so outside our historical understanding of America's leaders, that the (4)

media & our leaders can't comprehend what's going on. We are being murdered by the tens of thousands by a bioterrorist in our highest office who's been installed by a foreign enemy & enabled by his own party that's been funded & bought off by a foreign enemy & the home-grown (5)

decades-long takeover of the GOP & sabotage of government by the Koch network & Fox News.

We need to shake off our shell-shock & numbness & see these COVID deaths for what they are - a hostile attack as violent as the planes flown into the World Trade Center & Pentagon, (6)

a sustained attack from enemies within & without that wish to commit mass murder, terrorize & devastate the U.S. for decades to come. We need to mobilize to demand they resign, vote them out w/overwhelming numbers, demand they be punished & create systems to prevent (7)

this kind of attack on America from happening again. What we're facing now from Trump, Putin & the GOP are crimes against humanity, genocide of Americans by our own government (democide), a betrayal against all Americans from within that has never happened in our history. (8)

We need to create a new way to hold the mass murderers accountable whether through joining the Int'l Criminal Court & sending them to the Hague for trial, creating a Trump Crimes Commission with the power to recommend & prosecute criminal charges along w/monetary compensation (9)

for victims or some other way to make all perpetrators of genocide anywhere in the world face real consequences for their crimes. I call on @JoeBiden @KamalaHarris @SpeakerPelosi @SenSchumer @TheDemocrats @ProjectLincoln to make this happen. (10)
