I believe that some things like social media are not good or bad in themselves. But they can be used for good or bad in general.
Some DOs and DONβTs
1. Disable all the notifications.
Ever Since I disabled all the notifications, I found that my life was a lot more peaceful
π§΅
2. If something on social media upsets/enrages you then, turn off the screen and look around you.
What you are currently looking at is the real world.
The thing that was upsetting you were literally rendered pixels on your screen.
π§΅π
3. Know that the internet is not a fact-book.
Anyone can write anything.
Anyone can record a video.
Anyone can edit a picture.
Always fact check before believing in just one post and forwarding it.
π§΅π
4. If social media is the last thing that you check before sleeping and the first thing you check after waking up, then you are probably addicted to it.
π§΅π
Now about Instagram
1. DONβT ACCESS THE SEARCH SECTION
It is the black-hole of the things that you are most addicted to.
π§΅π
2. Mute anyone you think is negative/annoying.
3. Just post your picture and close the app.
I post my picture and immediately close the app. I check it after some time and reply to people after a while.
π§΅π
4. Delete the app after use and Re-Install it when you want to use it. (If you are overly addicted)
5. Try using it on a browser instead of the app.
This experience sucks.
6. Know that the Instagram models create unreal standards of beauty in the mind.
π§΅π
Twitter
1. Follow the people that you think can teach you something.
2. I mute/block anyone who always talks about politics and negativity.
3. Mute anyone who makes you annoyed/angry.
4. Donβt fight with anyone over tweets. It will just end up with you feeling bad.
π§΅π
Snapchat
Step 1: Delete your account.
Step 2: Delete the app.
π§΅π
Facebook
Honestly I am not much experienced with using Facebook.
I would suggest you to follow the same things as Instagram/Twitter or if possible follow the same things as Snapchat.
π§΅π
Social media is mainly about connecting to people, friends and family.
I wouldn't be using it as much if 1. I had friends I could be physically close to. 2. I was in a relationship. 3. There was no pandemic.
If you have 2 of the above points then reduce the social media usage.

Subjects you should study to become a better software developer (with learning resources)
Detailed Thread π§΅π
β¨ Data Structures and Algorithms
This is the first and most important choice in the list. Most self taught developers tend to skip this subject. Trust me studying DSA WILL make you a better software developer.
Book Recommendation:
Introduction to Algorithms by Thomas S. Cormen
β¨ Design Patterns
Design patterns are formalized best practices that the programmer can use to solve common problems when designing an application or system.
1. Start with freecodecamp.org's - JavaScript Algorithms and Data Structures Certification and finish the "Basic JavaScript" module.
You'll get a basic understanding of JavaScript and Programming in general.
2. Move to JavaScript.info and complete the following parts:
- An Introduction
- JavaScript Fundamentals
You'll start to understand Basic JavaScript concepts and their details.
Will you be interested in taking part in a hackathon to find some solution to this health crisis in India ?
This will be a collective effort and the solution will be open sourced.
Prize: You get to save a ton of lives
The whole point is to find a solution to this. I believe that if enough minds make an effort together, a solution might be possible.
And this will be more of a finding a solution together rather than a competition.
Help me promote this. If this gets a good response I'll be able to invite big influencers and organizers to help me with the event.
(I assure you it is not for profit)
