BREAKING: Another WH rose garden #COVID19 positive case—Pastor Greg Laurie of Harvest Christian Fellowship in Riverside, California who was at both the Prayer March on the Mall with Mike Pence and Franklin Graham and #SCOTUSNomination event same day. That makes 31, 4 new today.
2) they are all testing positive now because the typical incubation time range of ~2-14 days is hitting right smack in the middle of that range from that previous weekend of #SCOTUSNomination event.
3) And yes, you can be INFECTIOUS even before you either show symptoms or before you test positive, which has maximum test positive likelihood when you first show symptoms. But you can be contagious before before any of these. ImageImage

Sweden #COVID19 response is just crazy.

BREAKING—holy crap—Trump WH is now blocking the FDA proposed guidelines for the emergency release of a coronavirus vaccine. Basically WH has vetoed tougher safety/efficacy standards for a vaccine! #COVID19 🧵 (repost) nytimes.com/2020/10/05/us/…
2) Essentially, FDA had inserted a vaccine minimum efficacy standards that would have almost certainly guaranteed that no vaccine could be authorized before the election on Nov. 3... but now Trump WH has now OVERRULED & BLOCKED it. Thereby Trump HHS now has no such restrictions.
3) “The conflict began almost as soon as the Food and Drug Administration submitted the guidelines to the White House budget office on Monday, Sept. 21. The next day, Dr. Stephen M. Hahn, the F.D.A. commissioner, briefed Mr. Azar on the matter.”
