Huge news: Golden Dawn declared a criminal organisation, many members found guilty of murder & attempted murder, party leader to be sentenced in the next days
ICYMI: The Spectator published a piece supporting this neo-Nazi far right group
Apparently there might have originally been two articles originally?
Regardless the links in the Huffpo & Pressgazette pieces above, no longer work and appear to link to an article entitled "High Life" which is up at a different link, with some of the incendiary bits missing.
Here is a link to the original article in the Spectator with the incendiary bits in it. I can't find this on the Spectator site any more.
The paper falsely accused Nada al-Sanjari of
- Inviting an antisemitic activist
- Turned a blind eye to antisemitic statements
- Launched a vicious protest against Luciana
All lies. They've been forced to apologise & pay libel
A Saudi-coalition airstrike on a family home in Yemen murdered women & children in the latest evidence of potential war crimes (Sky)
Yet the UK gvt continues to provide arms & support Saudi's campaign in Yemen, the world's *largest* humanitarian disaster! news.sky.com/story/yemen-ev…
As @AlexCrawfordSky reported last week, Yemen children's hospitals are the 'closest thing to hell on Earth'.
Our UK government continues its weapon sales and support for the Saudi regime and its allies, whilst 80% of the population are reliant on aid
ICYMI: The United Nations (via the Group of Eminent International and Regional Experts on Yemen) called out the UK as one of the countries perpetuating the conflict due to its weapon sales to the Saudi regime & its allies (Page 5)
This is outrageous. The idea of having to condemn the actions of those you have nothing to do with, is unacceptable in general & even more so, for young children
It is important children learn that they aren't responsible for the actions of others, and have no duty to condemn
2. The choice to exclude Islamophobia from the guidance (noting government line that it is not a type of racism so is not included *at all*) not only speaks to the way the gvt prioritises the racism that suits it politically
It also speaks to how Islamophobia is totally ignored
