Air quality is something we really want to address.
It has serious impacts on health especially among our more vulnerable citizens such as children, older people, and anyone with heart or lung conditions.
Air quality is typically worse in less affluent areas too.
The improvement in air quality during the #COVID19 pandemic is an indication that further progress is possible, if balanced alongside the social and economic needs of the city.

Following the Coronavirus outbreak at Banham Poultry, the government has made Norfolk an area of enhanced support. This is what Alan Waters, leader of the city council, said in response.
“Identifying Norfolk as an area of enhanced support is a positive step as it means more resources will be available to help contain the virus.
“Crucially, this doesn’t mean Norfolk or Norwich will be subject to any additional restrictions on residents like we’ve seen in other areas of the country following outbreaks of Covid.
