Let's do short aftermath of the Veep #flygate debate. I'll start with Pence. He was very well prepped for the debate, he had clearly done a lot of mock debates. He had set answers, he ignored the moderator, and delivered his talking points, very well, but
Veep Debate Thread 2/13
While Pence delivered his talking points, he rarely answered the question at all (contrast to Kamala Harris who usually also answered, while pivoting to her intended talking point). Pence has infuriating talking style & interrupted & went over his time
Veep Debate Thread 3/13
What Pence 'achieved' was a 'strong' performance on his intended talking points. The right wing media LOVED his performance, because they heard what they want to hear. Red meat. Trumpism.
This is SUICIDAL strategy at this time for ELECTION at the middle
Veep Debate Thread 4/13
So understand. Pence is the lesser debater. He was VERY well prepped. He delivered almost robotically 'perfectly' the various talking points he had been drilled to deliver. Which will NOT HELP THEIR ELECTION at all. It only makes the BASE happy, who..
Veep Debate Thread 5/13
The base of GOP is perfectly fine with Pence, Bible-thumper white old guy (WORM = White Old Republican Male). What Trump-Pence ticket DESPERATELY needs, is to win undecided voters in the middle. Pence achieved none of that. What is worse...
Veep Debate Thread 6/13
What is worse, is both Pence & Trump struggle dealing with women. Pence may not have caused many men to decide either way, but his style both at Kamala Harris & at the moderator - would drive many women furious. They know that type of man.
Veep Debate Thread 7/13
Now Kamala Harris came in with huge expectations that she will crush Pence like she did with Judge Kavanaugh at his SCOTUS hearings. Kamala is way smarter than Pence & far more capable speaker. She too was prepped. Very very well. To NOT demolish Pence
Veep Debate Thread 8/13
Look at what Kamala Harris did in the debate. She answered most (not all) questions, but ALWAYS pivoted to her talking point. She mostly ignored Pence's many attacks and FOCUSED her attacks on... Trump. That is her job. Show that Trump can't be re-elected
Veep Debate Thread 9/13
We all WANTED Kamala Harris to destroy that smug arrogant liar Pence, and Kamala with considerable willpower, kept her smile - and was on the job. Pivot to attacking TRUMP, ignore that fly, and the other fly on his head. And TALK TO THE CAMERA (and smile)
Veep Debate Thread 10/13
Kamala Harris was single-mindedly focused on UNDECIDED voters in the middle. In particular YOUNGER voters, many who are now voting for first time. She frequently made the debating topic PERSONAL to the audience. She will have converted some undecideds
Veep Debate Thread 11/13
Whoever prepared Kamala Harris to this debate, that team did a great job on her strategy, and Kamala herself, delivered essentially flawlessly what she was supposed to do. Not destroy Pence, but rather, help Biden win, convert more undecided voters.
Veep Debate Thread 12/13
Last point. Pence is VP. Biden was VP. Nobody doubts their 'right' to run for office. But a VP can be a featherweight (Dan Quayle) or idiot (Sarah Palin). Kamala had an EXTRA burden. She had to prove she's in the class of heavyweights. She delivered.
Veep Debate Thread 13/13
Trump is 10 points behind. They needed knockout. It didn't come. They'd need at least SOME voters from middle. Pence got none
Kamala Harris needed to not take risks. To prove she's worthy of VP. Avoid Pence. Hit Trump. AND convert undecideds. She did it

Trump is 'increasingly' erratic, which is of course wild, considering how erratic he is normally. But there are several sound reasons WHY Trump is behaving so bewilderingly. Like on stimulus, debates etc
Trump is mentally weak, he is not smart, he is an imbecile, so his cognitive ability is roughly that of a 9-12 year old. He never even 'had' the tools to think complex things through - and am not now disparaging your smart child. Trump ALSO is lazy
Trump Thinking Thread 3/19
So a simpleton, who also was lazy, got his rich dad to buy him a degree from university, by having someone else take his SAT exams, and then no doubt, paid others to write his essays & take his tests too (or just bribe a few professors).

His longest-serving legal advisor Giuliani: so sick, likely Covid
His longest-serving fake wife #Flotits: Covid

Jon Cooper cc @joncoopertweets wrote "GOP source w/ White House ties: Trump is being advised to resign in honor rather than leave in defeat."
I am 100% certain Trump is getting such advice. Let's consider what could happen..
Speculation Trump Stepping Down 2/20
If you remember Ross Perot, an 'eccentric Billionaire', who has most successful third party run for President of past century, getting 19% of vote in 1992 (Clinton-Bush). When Perot saw he was definitely going to lose, he dropped out of race
Speculation Trump Stepping Down 3/20
But Perot later returned. Typical eccentric weirdness. Anyway. It is not unusual for a candidate who is destined to lose, to quit running. ESPECIALLY if the campaign is broke (& to add, Trump owes $1.1 Billion in debt, needs to pay interest)
On Veep Debate. Today may be a strange debate between theoretically TWO future debates. Kamala Harris may well be America's first woman President after Biden. BUT it is PLAUSIBLE that Pence is ALSO a future Potus. No no no, he'll never WIN an ELECTION.. but it is still plausible
It is PLAUSIBLE (unlikely) that Pence takes over from Trump as POTUS 46 in last months before Biden takes over, in that case as POTUS 47. Trump could step down or be forced to quit, or his health could deteriorate with Covid & aftermath, and force him out for health or worse
Let me remind you, Pence was so popular in the red state of Indiana, that he was headed for defeat as Governor back in 2016, when Manafort (=Putin) forced Trump to dump Chris Christie (Trump's choice) for Veep & take Pence instead. Trump hates Pence. Pence would lose any election
This is a thread about how Trumpomobsters are playing Trump - but also must play each OTHER - to try to stay out of prison as Trump loses the election this November.
Game of Chicken is when 2 cars race towards each other, and one must swerve
Game of Chicken Thread 2/18
I am discussing the end scenarios for the Trumpomobsters (Barr, Pence, Ivanka etc) as Trump will lose his election. I have set up two threads to explain the premises to this thread. PLEASE READ Game Theory: Prisoner's Dilemma
So please read FIRST the two threads, about Prisoner's Dilemma (link in previous Tweet) & this thread: Explains what is the Trumpomobster gang. They are not politicians AND NOT regular MOBSTERS. Please read before you continue
We're discussing the exit plans for the Trumpomobsters (Barr, Pence, Ivanka etc) as SS Trumpomess sinks. This thread sets up the discussion, by examining how the Trump White House differs from normal politicians & from normal mobsters
Trumpomobster Thread 2/17
Any NORMAL White House starts with much of the top tier of that party's best political minds. Trump was different. He feuded with GOP and didn't use his convention in 2016 to unify his party, leaving tons of 'never Trumpers'.
Trumpomobster Thread 3/17
Under any NORMAL White House, the FIRST TIER talent is the best of the best, & then as there is inevitable turnover, the 'second tier' or second bench gets into White House, & in 2-term Presidency goes down to 3rd tier talent or worse (= often scandals)
