Because these are the same people who paved the way for him to get into office and I don't think they should just be made to wash their hands of it. Trump is very temporary. He'll be gone in either 4 months or 4 years. The people who enabled him will still all be there.
Wilson created ads attacking veterans, comparing them to Al-Qaeda and Saddam Hussien. Charlie Sykes made David Clarke a national name. Steve Schmidt chose McCain's running mate. Jeff Zucker - Period. And then they all just went "Hey, we have nothing to do with this" Sorry nope.
At each and every turn they played a role in steering the GOP toward Trump and then all walked away and straight into Jeff Zucker's arms or Morning Joe. Yeah sorry, doesn't work like that.
But sure guys, you keep holding up George Conway angling for a post trump reality show, and Scaramucci and Avenatti and Michael Cohen as pillars of the new moral conservatism. That should go great for you.

Hi Steve. Here's a GoFundMe for a film that has raised $65,000 in donations. It hasn't been updated in over a year and the film was never produced. The money was pocketed. Care to comment? gofundme.com/f/everything-t…
If you want to know how the GOP was steered toward Trumpism, this is a pretty good example of why and how, and no they don't get to wash their hands of it. They are just the other team's problem now.
The Lincoln Project *IS* Donald Trump and it took anyone with a pair of eyes and more than two brain cells to see this about 5 minutes after it was created.
Apparently Hillary Clinton had the same information 4 years ago The NY Times does now.
This thing of retreading issues people already decided on 4 years ago get clicks. It probably gets readers. But not sure how it moves voters either way. Trump will be judged on his presidency. Not information given to people on a debate stage an entire election ago.
