Now that President @MBuhari have spoken with detailed assurances on the issue of #SARSMUSTEND, it is important that we hold this as a singular victory to behold & trust our President on his words. We have achieved what was never possible few months ago.

Let’s trust the President
Reform takes time, until all the ingredients are considered and gazetted, you can’t have a robust ensuring reform. More so, security agency as critical and the police.

We should trust the President and have the reform process monitored from now on. This should be our focus.
We must not risk our activism & genuine demand to become a political movement. As civil as we have performed, we should remain civil, citizens who are guided by constitutional democracy

The Executives and legislators are on same page of agreement, what we should do is trust them
We should however, ensure that all the words mentioned are put into action by tracking the progress of reform and consolidation of our moribund security structures in Nigeria in urgent need of a revamp

In addition to SARS, issues like banditry, kidnapping and terrorism need this

Dear @jack,

It’ll do you a lot more good if you stay away from Nigerian Politics. You should know that the so-called #EndSARS protest have transformed into political agitation, capable of breaking law & order in our country. You should not be a moral & financial sponsor to this.
This is Nigeria, most of the demands initially presented was attended to by the responsible authorities. SARS no longer exist in this country.

Your support for a disbanded entity was a needless interference. We cannot allow killings again in Nigeria in the name of protests.
I understand that this may play well to your business, you have more content, more people & more activity on your platform, but to us is about life, peace & security of our dear Country, we cannot allow you to be part of the people sponsoring disorder. We need peace & prosperity.

While we worked together in unity to get Nigeria rid of SARS, now is the time to focus attention on the biggest catastrophe facing the country: #EndNorthBanditry & #SecureNorth.

For over a decade, the North lost thousands of lives, millions are scattered due to insecurity..yet..
Yet the north have shown incredible resilience & solidarity with the rest of the country on all issues of concerns, including #EndSars. The North stood in solidarity with Nigerians, now we demand solidarity in return.

The north has been an efficient partner in Nigerian progress.
We do not ask for protest on street, we do not ask for confrontation with the authorities, we do not ask for breaking any law and order. All we ask for is join voices with us and call for the #EndNorthBanditryNow and #SecureNorth.

A simple hashtag just to call for an attentions.

Dear Fellow Protesters , please go home and rest.

I want to let you know that our agitation for attention was on #EndSARS, the IG of police acted based on our request, many said that isn’t enough until the President said it himself, The President obliged, what more do we need?
Some still said the President must do executive order etc. It seems to me that some of us want to tell the President how to do his job after getting the trust of majority of voters in a democratic Nigeria. That shouldn’t be. There must be trust between us & the President.
You & I know that the principle of MORE is a tailless circle. If we keep asking for more, our last bus stop might not just be that President should dance in a market square makes for our pleasure, it could even be much more. We have achieved a singular victory, we should keep it.

Dear Mr. Femi,

I appreciate your sincerity, but I want to let you know that our agitation for attention was on #EndSARS, the IG of police acted based on our request, many said that isn’t enough until the President said it himself, The President obliged, what more do we need?

Dear People of the North,

It’s high time we tell ourselves the brutal truth

It seems to me that our beloved President @mbuhari respond faster to criticism than with love

The present security issue could have gotten better attention if it were not coming from the North.

Thread
People of the South South were the first to start criticizing the President, the response was so fast that they now have the perfect security they ever had in Nigeria.

It was the result of critism and calling for attention than expression of love and understanding.
People of the South East were deeply critical of the President, yet they now have the almighty second Niger bridge near completion. A project that has been ongoing since after the civil war, now getting fastest attention ever.

Despite my well known support for the President @MBuhari, I cannot go with the fact that I'm grossly disappointed in the way he is handling this Covid-19 Crisis.

President's, at this kind of time should be on the forefront of the citizens, reassuring them of efforts on safety.
The President's main constituency is the poor, in his tweets, N10Bn was allotted to Lagos, 5Bn to @NCDC, but nothing was made available for common men & women who have no means of livelihood against the backdrop of stay-at-home order.

Why would ordinary Nigerians be last option?
What is more challenging is the complete silence from the President himself, who should take the center stage & show his commitment, physically, emotionally & mentally in solidarity with the citizens at this trying times.

All we hear is rumor everywhere, where is the President?
