Distinguished, I usually don’t engage petty thoughts like this but lest those whose hearts are hungry feed on your mischief, let me state here that I have NEVER been a fan of protest knowing how it makes a bait of the vulnerable we seek to protect. 👉🏽link.medium.com/cNhguBEDxab
Learn more about the Movement and Advocacy. It is not the same as the PROTEST. The protest is the constitutional expression of discontent by every individual who so chooses to engage. We simply created a valid case for the CAUSE based on research and consideration of extant laws.
The conversation started long ago and have achieved so much you probably May never know because we are not selling ourselves. Our goal is to create a future and legacy for our children that our fathers were not brave enough to create for us. You can’t protest forever.
It may make you feel good now but the frenzy ends and the trends fade. You won’t be there to determine what policies or shape perception of decision makers. Govt operate via legacy structures and chain of command. The interpretation of actions matters a great deal.
Without the public Advocacy the protest will not be effective and may achieve nothing. It took years for us to get here. Barriers have been broken even under political tension and prejudices. This toxic attitude towards people seeking to make a difference has discouraged many.
We deserve the Govt we get. The Police are from society and sometimes if not always they mirror us. Imagine a gun in your hands right now with that faulty perception of yours based on the projection of personal failure unto someone you may never meet and never know. Seek help.
Birds don’t sing for the advancement of music neither do they stop being themselves based on accolades or criticism. I seek no external validation and not an iota of my self esteem is tied to your acceptance. You own your protest. That’s your response to stimuli.
Leadership, however, is responsibility. The #EndSARS #ReformPoliceNG Movement is not the declaration of war on society or the @PoliceNG it is a doubled edged sword bridging the institutional gap between society and the police. Police are citizens too & our lives matter.
The harmful cultural practices including cyberbullying and attempt to disparage and denigrate individuals is as good as shooting someone unprovoked simply because we feel intimidated. How are you different from those you protest against? Listen to my words again & read your tweet
You can now see that this says a lot about you than the person you hope to rile the people against. But I wish that you heal. The things I see you may never see in a hundred years. Police won’t harass me or harm my kids but I fear for your future should you continue this way.

Fellow Citizens, for the past 48hours I have had a series of coordinated attacks on my handle by known fifth columnist who commoditizes the struggle for emancipation of the vulnerable in our society. The exploiters of vulnerabilities aimed at denigrating the works of years...
...the altruistic work towards bridging the gap between the Police Institution and our society is non-partisan and included all Nigerians as run by a fully registered incorporated trustees @SIAF_NG. The #EndSARS #ReformPoliceNG movement is a platform of expression for Nigerians.
But some individuals who have in the past tried to compromise our convictions in the past have tried and failed again in their attempt to seize a struggle for the soul of Nigeria through a genuine advocacy by aiming to weaponize it against the Government via a hostile takeover.

The attempt to hijack the #EndSARS #ReformPoliceNG Movement by known elements who were against it from day one and had to be a part now for fame & earnings is not surprising. They felt they can demonize me & take ownership by force. But they’ll fail again as always.
The #EndSARS #ReformPoliceNG movement is not a tool against any group or individual. It wasn’t designed as a political weapon to demonize institutions or persons. We also are not in the habit of raising funds in the shadows. This was why they started with the attacks.
The #EndSARS #ReformPoliceNG movement is not a cult group. We don’t guilt trip people for control. We have a Convener and we are NOT a Protest group neither are we easing funds for such purpose. This is yet another onslaught in the same pattern on the cause. Be careful out there.

Let me tell you this for free. The Govt bent over backwards and approved all the demands including the #5for5. The President even gave the Presidential order as demanded. As we speak they are constituting an independent panel to investigate these crimes in the next 5days.
There is nothing I have ever tweeted that I won’t say the same way before God and Man. I am not doing anyone a favor but contributing my little quota for future generation’s sakes.
It was a long one but the demand for the immediate release of all that may have been arrested and some even charged with murder should be released unconditionally. The IGP and the panel agreed to all the terms as presented and will show this in their action.

Distinguished, please note that the Global Magnitsky Human Rights Accountability Act passed by the US Congress in 2016 allows the US Government to sanction foreign Government officials implicated in human rights abuses anywhere in the world. #5for5 #FreeLekkiRoad 🙏🏽
We mustn’t endanger the lives of others with our push for assurances on the already given orders that scrapped the tactical squads as demanded as a main objective of the movement. Fellow citizens must not suffer more. Let’s open the roads and keep the peace.
We have been locked down in meetings since with the IG of @PoliceNG @MinofPoliceNG credible CSOs and other critical Govt bodies as hosted by the @NhrcNigeria. This has never happened before, as made possible by our collective responsibility as citizens.

Revolution is not about primitive protests with ignorant people void of apprehension of the future. It begins in the mind. A movement of a people around a strategic cause may or may not require street protests. #EndSARS movement wasn’t born days ago. It started in 2017. #History ImageImageImage
The Church shouldn’t be perceived to have began on the day you started believing. What you don’t know exits. The movement is NOT about the street protest but the common goal researched, conceived, designed & advocated for years across platforms with all arms of Govt in the loop.
The protest strategically must be leaderless following the Starfish model, where every individual is a potential starfish on their own. This how it spreads without the possibility of a setback due to the arrest of any individual. The protest, however, is not the Movement.

Leadership is responsibility. Success has many relatives and also those who will want to claim they deserve to be success personified even without the capacity to show responsibility for the title or position so desired. ⛱ #Reality
But when all Hell breaks loose, or when responsibility is required in dire situations, there is no longer unconscionable cum ignorant argument about who the Convener is. There’s a consensus. "Ọmọ o̩lọ́mo̩ ni à ng pè ní abẹ́gúndé."
It is another man’s child that we assign to deadly masquerade while pretending he is destined to be so aligned for our amusement. Similarly, it is another man’s child that we sent into an evil forest known historically to consume explorers.
