BREAKING—**2 dozen** #COVID19 cases officially linked by officials in Minnesota to people who attended presidential campaign events in the past month, most of them attendees at airport rallies hosted by Trump. nytimes.com/live/2020/10/1…
2) “State officials said 16 of the cases were tied to a Sept. 18 outdoor rally at the airport in Bemidji, where Mr. Trump addressed a packed and mostly-maskless crowd.”
5) “Speaking to Newsweek, Feigl-Ding said: "I'm really worried about the Tulsa rally. With 19,000 people indoor stadium capacity, and many attendees likely not wearing masks (conservatives have a much lower mask wearing prevalence), it is a major concern.” google.com/amp/s/www.news…

📍Trump’s “immunity” is likely artificial & temporary says experts. His synthetic antibodies could actually prevent his body from making own. Regeneron antibodies have a half life of 21–25 days—thus, by Oct 23, half gone by then. #COVID19#TrumpCovid 🧵 nytimes.com/2020/10/14/hea…
2) “Without replenishment, this decline may leave Mr. Trump even more susceptible to the virus than most patients who have recovered from Covid-19, several experts warned.”
3) “Moreover, the steroid treatment the president received early in the course of his illness suppresses the body’s natural immune response, including its propensity to make antibodies of its own.”
WORRISOME OUTBREAK—this one Canadian gym did almost everything right—6 feet apart, symptom screenings, cleaning, 50% capacity, masks before and after class. But no air ventilation improvement. Now an outbreak of 61 primary and secondary #COVID19 cases. 🧵 cnn.com/2020/10/13/wor…
2) the gym also tracked all those in attendance at each class, masking before and after classes, laundering towels and cleaning the rooms within 30 minutes of a complete class, said Dr. Elizabeth Richardson, Hamilton's medical officer of health.
But it still wasn't enough.
3) “Public health officials are very concerned about the number of cases and the size of the outbreak, especially because the city is not currently a hotspot and the facility was not ignoring health protocols, they said in a statement to CNN.
BREAKING—New records reveal that, while Trump & his advisors were publicly giving rosy outlooks on the pandemic, they were privately giving dire warnings to wealthy investors behind closed doors, triggering sell offs.
2) “On the afternoon of Feb. 24, Trump declared on Twitter that the coronavirus was “very much under control” in the United States, one of numerous rosy statements that he and his advisers made at the time about the worsening epidemic...
3) “He even added an observation for investors: “Stock market starting to look very good to me!”
But hours earlier, senior members of the president’s economic team, privately addressing board members of the conservative Hoover Institution, were less confident.
2) “Persistent Symptoms or Illnesses After Recovery from Acute COVID-19:
There have been an increasing number of reports of patients who experience persistent symptoms after recovering from acute COVID-19.
3) “At this time, there is limited info on the prevalence, duration, underlying causes, and effective management strategies for these lingering signs and symptoms. Some of the symptoms overlap w/ post-intensive care syndrome that has been described in patients without COVID-19
⚠️Mask misinformation—TX Senator John Cornyn tweets a misleading photo about Dems not wearing masks. It was a photo from 2018. This is the kinda of disgusting mask fake info that is ruining pandemic response. C’mon @JohnCornyn—you follow my account, so show some decency. #COVID19
Folks— *DOUBLE MASKING* could be the safer way to go. Biden used a surgical + N95, while I used a KN95 + KF94 (South Korea 🇰🇷 made). Not only do each offer better filtration than cloth mask, but also in case one is a fake knockoff (lots fake KN95s) and saves mask longer. #COVID19
2) Also some people have a vented premium mask, which isn’t good for stoping aerosol exhalation, but another mask on top of a vented one can still allow its use.
3) I personally don’t think double mask is needed unless you can’t distance, indoors, or interact with a lot of people in places where many don’t mask. Then I have to take matters into my own hands and double mask in high risk settings. And I usually keep my sunglasses on.
