The media's complaints about transparency in the Trump White House are hilarious when you consider how opaque Obama's was, and Biden's would be - with the active complicity of the media. Reporters will block damaging stories like Secret Service agents diving in front of bullets.
Given a media as thoroughly corrupt, lazy, and partisan as ours, and the immense power of the central government, no one truly concerned about in "transparency" can possibly vote Democrat. You're literally voting for the media to become PART of the administration.
There is simply no possibility of an adversarial relationship between the degenerate mainstream media and a Democrat administration, especially not after they push Biden into the White House. "Reporters" would be taking victory laps right alongside him.
The media would view its mission as helping Trump's successor succeed, "heal the country," impose "social justice," etc. There wouldn't have to be any directives issued from on high. Every DNC Media reporter and editor would feel it in their bones.
Also, remember how the media absurdly downplays actual left-wing political violence while endlessly fretting about potential "white supremacist" attacks? That's not just cynical partisan hackery. They've INTERNALIZED that fantasy worldview.
They would see their mission under a Biden administration as downplaying or completely suppressing any bad news that might set off the Deplorables. The same media that deliberately stokes left-wing racial violence would squelch anything that might set off "volatile" Trump voters.
The media would see part of its core mission as restoring "faith in government" and internationalist approval of the U.S. They'll steer wide clear of any story that might compromise that restoration of faith. They'll just find other things to talk about.
And if you want to see what industrial-strength "whataboutism" looks like, wait until you see the press dismissing every Biden blunder and scandal as a trifle compared to Whatever Trump Did. They'd still be pumping out hit pieces on Trump at the end of Biden's first term.
Remember also that a madly spinning revolving door exists between Democrat administrations and the media. Everyone in DNC Media dreams of getting tapped by a Dem president and gaining real POWER. They aren't going to write tough stories that would shatter those dreams.
Meanwhile, Democrat officials often stroll directly from their offices into jobs with the mainstream media. They have a very easy time pushing good stories and suggesting reporters avoid covering bad ones. Remember Ben Rhodes and his echo chamber full of media idiots?
You just won't have adversarial media with a Democrat administration, and it's worse now than ever before. Whatever else you expect from a Dem in the White House, it's absolutely ridiculous to think you'll get "transparency" or tough questions. /end
