Yesterday, management & staff of @LSMOH held a Retirement/Sendforth ceremony in honour of Dr. Moyosore Adejumo, Director Pharmaceutical Services & the most senior Director in the Ministry after spending 32 years in the service of @followlasg and attaining the retirement age of 60
It was a day of tributes and eulogies for Adejumo who until her retirement was the most senior Director at the State Ministry of Health.
The Sendforth ceremony which took place at the Conference Hall of the Folarin Coker Staff Clinic, Secretariat Alausa-Ikeja had in attendance, the Perm Sec @LSMOH, Dr. Olusegun Ogboye, representatives from Public Service Office & the Civil Service Commission, few Family members
Family members, friends and colleagues of Dr. Adejumo took turns to pay tributes to the retiree describing her as an Intelligent, Efficient, Astute, Dependable, Friendly, Hardworking, Goal Oriented, Focused and Confident individual who advises & renders support to others.
The Permanent Secretary @LSMOH, Dr. Olusegun Ogboye @SegsDr while extolling the virtues of Dr. Adejumo noted that he will miss her blunt but sisterly advice and support adding that Adujomo may be retiring but not tired to contribute her wealth of experience when needed.
The high point of the event was the presentation of certificate of retirement and gifts to Adejumo as well as the cutting of cake.
Dr. Adejumo was born in Lagos on October 13, 1960. She attended the Queen School, Ibadan where she obtained her West African School Certificate before she proceeded to the Federal Government Girls College, Bida, then the University Tutorial College, London for her A-Levels.
She thereafter attended the University of the Pacific Stockton, California, USA between 1980 and 1985 from where she obtained a doctorate degree in pharmacy (Pharm. D). She also holds a Masters in Public Administration degree from the University of Lagos.
She started her working career at the then General Hospital, Ikeja now @LASUTHikeja as a Grade 1 Pharmacist in 1988 from where she was transferred to the then Agbowa Health Center as a Senior Pharmacist/Head of the Pharmacy Unit in 1993.
With her experience, She has worked at many hospitals including the General Hospital, Isolo, Randle Health Center and the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja between 2000 and 2002 from where she was transferred to the Ministry of Health in 2003.
Dr. Adejumo is a member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN), American Pharmaceutical Association (APHA) and the National Association of Hospital and Administrative Pharmacists (NAHAP).
Dr Moyosore Adejumo is very ambitious and committed to excellence, a team player with the ability to work effectively with diverse group of people.
She was the 2007 Lagos State Health Sector Productivity Award recipient and has adapted two booklets on Alcohol and Marijuana for drug abuse control activities in Lagos State. Her hobbies are reading, mentoring, meeting people and volunteering.

Commissioner for Health, @ProfAkinAbayomi, who broke the news today, said 181 students & staff members of a private school located in a suburb of Lekki tested positive to COVID19 during surveillance & case investigation in the school. There are 441 students & staff in the school.
Giving details of the investigation, Abayomi explained that a 14-year-old SS1 female student fell ill on the 3rd of October and was sent home after receiving first aid at the school.

The Lagos State Government has urged members of the public to disregard a list making the round on social media of hospitals and health facilities purportedly exposed to COVID19 cases in the State.
Executive Secretary, @HEFAMAA_LASG, Dr. Abiola Idowu who disowned the list stated that the @LSMOH through @HEFAMAA_LASG never issued any statement advising the public not to patronize certain facilities exposed to #COVID19 cases in the State.
In order to increase COVID19 testing capacity in Lagos, @followlasg has set up sampling stations in the 20 local government areas of the State where citizens that fit the case definition of #COVID19 can visit to drop samples for testing. @jidesanwoolu @JokeSanwoolu @LagosNma
