"guys, we have tacos on every corner here, and president clinton's virus swift reaction team is being attacked by republicans for the 300-person death toll. we're really kind of upset about it. how are things going in your universe?" - our counterparts, throwing shade
"after trump lost he just went and did some weird show on alex jones' network. we haven't heard from him in years. is he still a thing in your universe? qanon? no, i can't say i'm familiar with it. president clinton doesn't tweet much."
i dunno why but in my head there's like an apollo-soyuz type conduit between the two universes and we have to shout between realities to speak.
"the proud what? no. maybe they were arrested in the militia sweeps of '18? president clinton did it with the budget surplus, but the republicans threatened to impeach her over it."

and to be clear, the radical left would probably send me to a reeducation camp (at best)
i disagree with the real radical left (its not aoc and bernie, no matter what fox/gop says) on a lot of things, mostly national security type stuff, but considering our decades under wingnuttery, id prefer them
Republicans barely like to say good things about FDR (4 terms and ww2 make that hard) and yet CONSTANTLY we have to tell democrats to stop the deification of Reagan, Bush and Bush II. Stop.
“Hello, thank you for calling the Biden campaign, please hold.”
“And we’re gonna buy ads in Texas, and Georgia, and all the Carolinas, and maybe a blimp, we can definitely afford a blimp. Maybe two, no, three blimps, three blimps for Biden...”
“One thousand dollars for tv ads here, one thousand dollars for gotv here, one thousand dollars for web ads here...”
reporters at the most vaunted journalistic outlets should be able to know what bullshit is being peddled, left or right. dumb bloggers knew wmds were a lie, its the lowest possible bar and reporters should be able to step over it.
sorry (not sorry) but if you're a political reporter for the ny times or politico or bloomberg and you're having a hard time telling if the story from steve fuckin' bannon is bullshit or not and you just kneejerk push it out, you should quit.
its not as if this story came from a reputable source or an outlet with a good track record on this. its a story in the ny post from steve bannon and rudy giuliani about a laptop. come the fuck on.
you didnt bother to note these caveats when you rushed to promote the story and the supposed lack of response from biden. you got caught redhanded and then tried to clean it up.
