reporters at the most vaunted journalistic outlets should be able to know what bullshit is being peddled, left or right. dumb bloggers knew wmds were a lie, its the lowest possible bar and reporters should be able to step over it.

sorry (not sorry) but if you're a political reporter for the ny times or politico or bloomberg and you're having a hard time telling if the story from steve fuckin' bannon is bullshit or not and you just kneejerk push it out, you should quit.
its not as if this story came from a reputable source or an outlet with a good track record on this. its a story in the ny post from steve bannon and rudy giuliani about a laptop. come the fuck on.
if theres a legitimate negative story about any candidate, regardless of party, of course reporters should report on it. but when the scam crew comes around with another likely scam, you shouldnt just go "hmmm check this out"
