start/ let's discuss the three pillars of censorship
1/ hiding the information

a bit hard on the internet, and runs into the risk of Streisand effect
2/ tarring and feathering the information

if it's marked "untrustworthy", it won't be passed along. rewrites history for the future.
3/ threat of social ostracism, professional shutdown, deplatforming

super effective on platforms used by normies. #TheBanIsTheMessage
the maoists were particularly apt at applying it through "struggle sessions"

This is a brilliant exchange. Let's analyze (thread)
Who is Andrew?

His profile looks nice and relatable (again); he clearly establishes his socialist/radical cred with his pinned tweet ("abolish the senate" is standard revolutionary leftist program all over the world).
A quick browse through Andrew's profile indicates clearly he's a Bernie style "i am totally a moderate" far leftist.

A regular citizen, he is sharp and well informed, and can make a joke. In background, a revolution beckons.

@PereGrimmer Dude, it's Bad People Incorporated.
@PereGrimmer It really is Bad People Incorporated #BLM
@PereGrimmer Oh yeah, for sake of completeness (aka for shit and giggles) i've checked Snopes

The fact checker @snopes turns out, *again*, to be a less reliable source of facts & opinion than the excellent *satirical* @TheBabylonBee

Gig economy (#AnalysisThread) favors hard work and offers little to no protections to those who want free gibs.

The state of California deems that very racist & sexist (see what they did there?) and wants to eradicate the #GigEconomy;wants to give everybody exact same conditions Image
Gig economy is weighted more by merit than by social capital. This makes it very un-controllable by the media, who rely on control via the #SocialCapital

The media, the progressive groups attack everything they can't control. Image
Large organizations (inc. labor unions) rely more on social capital than on merit. Hard to measure individual contributions; activism gives warm feels.

Anybody with social capital is given job, promotion, titles, budget - even if delivering no value; even if *negative* value. Image

Section 230 hinges on "information provided by another information content provider"

It's time to recognize that Twitter stopped providing individual tweets long time ago, and is only providing access to a tweet database that they designed, created and actively maintain /1
i.e., Twitter is providing access to their own work of art (the database of tweets) rather than to individual works of art of third party (twitter users). In which case Section 230 (c) protection don't apply anymore./2
It's time to create a new, specific legal category of database of social media posts; designed, created, and actively curated by a social media site. /3

I love Academic Agent

But his recent crusade against Managerial Elites is misguided.

Fortunately in his latest vid, you can just about see professional activists shining from behind the thinning ranks of managerial elites.

Managerial elites peaked in 1969 with the Apollo program, and crashed in early 70s when McNamara's Whiz Kids & RAND Corp failed to manage the Vietnam War to success. Ever since the managerial scientism was considered weak policy source and outright bad policy seller.
The Vietnam War was concluded by the professional activist behind the TV camera and by the professional activist staffing an NGO.
