Today, armed activists led by "Boogaloo Boy" Mike Dunn marched to the Newport News, VA Police Station to defy a local law banning open carry on gov't property (for which Dunn was arrested last week).

The police chief offered chocolate milk and a sound system as a peace offering.
Police Chief Steve R. Drew spoke to the "Boogaloo Boys" et al.

He confirmed that he returned Mike Dunn his handgun today.

He sent his condolences to the family of Duncan Lemp, and said he wants to treat the rally "with the upmost respect" and asked the same from them.
A big sigh came out of @JaPharii757 from #BlackLivesMatter @BLM757 before his speech.

He noted the difference in how police treat unarmed Black Lives Matter activists versus an armed rally like this one.

He says "this showing of force is absolutely beautiful."
Mike Dunn @MDfreedombooms explained how he defied the local gun ordinance and got arrested last week, and then said "legally, we're not supposed to be open carrying here, but we're all open carrying."

"We're here openly and blatantly defying unconstitutional city ordinances."
"Pops" - a BLM activist known to carry guns (today he wore six firearms) - described how police "tear gassed" his group when they were unarmed.

"Armed protesters do not get assaulted by police, that's a fact" he explained.

He says this led him into armed activism.
After speeches, I saw Mike playing with some handcuffs and jokingly asked if he was making an arrest.

He cuffed one hand and brought a few guys with long guns to stare into the police station.

Police didn't respond as he did a photo op next to the "no open carrying" sign.
Mike explained the trade of Diet Mountain Dew for chocolate milk that he had with the police chief earlier.

He says he thinks it's the PD to "apologize without apologizing."

He adds that "locked and loaded" protesters are why police wouldn't arrest while breaking law.
Here is my HD video summary of what happened today when armed protesters defied a local gun ordinance outside the police station in Newport News Virginia.

As always, all footage available to license.

A week ago, I filmed Mike Dunn @MDfreedombooms get arrested in Newport News, Virginia under a new local ordinance banning open carry in public places (photo mine. Vid )

Today, he is calling for an armed protest at the police station. I'll be covering live.
To be clear, Mike Dunn has mustered as many as a hundred armed activists into the streets of Richmond.

What happens tonight is anyone's guess, but I expect it to be significant, and I will be livestreaming.

One final note before my coverage continues on field: People may tend to assume that armed groups tend to be adamantly pro-police.

This is not true across the board; indeed Mike tends to be confrontational and tell police "We will not comply!"

"Abortion on demand and without apology!"

Protesters for and against Amy Coney Barrett took to the streets of DC for a second day of activism as the senate continues her confirmation process to the Supreme Court.

Again, the protests largely focused on healthcare and abortion.
At the Dirksen Senate Building, pro-#AmyConeyBarrett activists stood across from anti-ACB activists.

Anti-ACB activists noted the lack of mask-wearing on the pro-ACB side, accusing them of not caring about "the health, the welfare of the people around them."
The protesting continued to the Supreme Court, where protesters demanded "No confirmation before inauguration!" and supporters of Amy Coney Barrett chanted "We have the votes!"

After the Cville car attack in 2017, a Youtuber named William Evans (who went by "SonOfNewo") made a series of viral videos claiming it was a "hoax," & that I was the deep state cameraman.

In 2018, he set the videos to private and vanished.

On Monday, I saw him at Walter Reed.
I don't want to extensively platform his bullshit, but for context, here's the crux of the argument he made over several videos.

In short, he claims that neo-Nazis aren't real, and I must have been working for a "three-letter agency" to film them.

(The cuts in this are his.)
Needless to say, the three-letter agency I contributed my coverage of white nationalists to was PBS, and the work won an Emmy.

I don't think that's what he meant though.

Jason @JasonRCharter Charter has been arrested and charged with Misdemeanor simple assault in the incident that occurred between him and other antifascist activists versus @JackPosobiec.

(Redactions on report mine)

This is my uncut video of the incident:
In footage shot just yesterday by @blackhousenew, Jason was released from jail over an incident that occurred at the National Mall on Saturday.

It appears he was re-arrested on this three-month old assault less than a day later.

Additionally, @JasonRCharter still faces three felonies related to his alleged role in the attempted toppling of the Andrew Jackson statue at the White House.

He and his lawyer held a press conference responding to those charges in early August.

4K, 60FPS footage: President Trump departs from Walter Reed Medical Center in Marine One.

Supporters cheered for the president, who flew low and did a half-loop around the crowd before heading to the White House.

Full res, available to license:
Hundreds of President Trump's supporters stood across the street ahead of his departure from the hospital, with some driving by and honking as well.

"USA! USA!" they cheered. "We love you Trump! We love you Trump!
I spoke to a man with a sign reading "Send French Fries! Get Orange Man Good... Again! I love DJT."

He says he's a "die-hard conservative" and got out of the hospital yesterday in New York from an "unexpected problem" and is glad he could be here "while this is still going on."

A coalition of socialists, anarchists and others held a "Protest Against State Repression" on Saturday afternoon in Atlanta, Georgia. Their march began at the CNN Headquarters.

Footage by Joey Pluto for @N2Sreports. Apologies for being late, this was a long weekend.
The "Protest Against State Repression" said they don't need or want the protection of the police, and instead had a couple of armed security of their own.
"This is what unity looks like right?" said one speaker. He said the police didn't follow them because of their numbers and unity.

A flier advertising the protest had a dozen sponsoring organizations listed, ranging from a Young Democrats Caucus to a Socialist third party.
