While it’s easy to glorify these Wild West days, I personally think there is no better time than today.
The pro for us, was that the internet was tiny. Everyone in design knew each other.
The con was it was tiny. Fewer clients, less money, less value to design, worse tools.
Today, I am blown away by how insane tools like @figmadesign and @webflow make design.
In my day, you had to either fully learn JavaScript and CSS or you had to sacrifice your beloved design by handing it off to some color blind engineer to chop it up and ruin it.

2/ Here’s what we’ve learned starting @supercast...
• I personally know around 10 podcasters who are making between $1-$5MM in annual recurring revenue from subscription podcasting. Nobody realizes this.
3/ People still don’t really get subscription membership as a model in podcasting. We have to aggressively educate most podcasters we speak to because they don’t understand why they should care.
