SAVE ARABIC IN OSUN STATE UNIVERSITY

Efforts to start Arabic in UNIOSUN which started in 2014 became fruitful in 2017 when Arabic was approved with other programmes including Islamic, Yoruba, Philosophy, Tourism and Theatre Arts.

Efforts to start Arabic in UNIOSUN which started in 2014 became fruitful in 2017 when Arabic was approved with other programmes including Islamic, Yoruba, Philosophy, Tourism and Theatre Arts.
Dr Mikail Folorunsho has earlier been appointed to teach the Arabic courses in French curriculum. He has been handling these with Arabic components of Islamic Law curriculum as well as Arabic courses in Islamic studies curriculum as well as courses in Islamic studies.
Problem:
Of all the new as well as the old courses in UNIOSUN, Arabic is the only one without a single student. Islamic is doing fairly good with 3 students in part 2 & 5 students in part 1. The University has not appointed lecturers for Arabic department because of the absence

It will be painful if Arabic is cancelled by THE ONLY UNIVERSITY IN OSUN STATE, where it has been approved since 2017. It has been approved for two sessions now !
We will not have it re-introduced again in future !
