*Thread* - Doing The Work

Strategy to Dissolve Procrastination
Henry Ford believed any man can do any job
If it was broken down into steps

Making Content, Ads, Your Schedule

Break it down into simplest form

Create a step by step checklist

It'll improve results & makes the work less intimidating, increasing motivation

Steal my example ⬇️
Here's an example of what I mean

Let's use YouTube

1) Go to the top channels in niche and find what keywords their best 5 videos use

2) Use KW tool to see which KW is easiest to rank for
(Finding the video to make first, then making it)
3) Watch the 3 most popular

Take notes on what you like and what you don't like

Read the comments

4) Brainstorm bullets for the video

5) Write the intro. Strong hook to keep attention & get commitment to watch all the way

6) Immediately dive into the first key point
Could go into the rest but you get the idea

When broken down into crystal clear steps

Even someone with no experience can do it
(Assembly line)

WAY less friction & not intimidating because the work is crystal clear

Not winging it & figuring out everything from scratch
Essentially you're completing a fill in the blank sheet

The mind LOVES clarity
It fears the unknown & uncertain

Same goes for our schedule

"Make a video" vs the steps listed above

"eat healthy" vs saying

Only 2 meals, no snacks, 170g protein, 2400 calories

Crystal Clear
In my experience procrastination stems from uncertain rewards

When I KNEW for a fact something would work

It was easy to do it
I was magnetically drawn to it

If I was unsure it would work

The brain found a hard time finding the motivation to take action
Clarity creates action

But also, action creates clarity

We never will have 100% clarity

Breaking down the elements into crystal clear steps gives us clarity

Even when the result is subpar

We can see what step in our assembly line is causing it
YouTube example again

- Lots of clicks but low watch time
This means: Thumbnail & Title are good

Intro hook not strong enough and/or content is not delivered good enough

- Low clicks but decent watch time
Means the opposite

Thumbnail & title are trash
When we have a process

It becomes easy to reverse engineer
Tweak our assembly line & produce better results

If we just wing everything it becomes very difficult to pinpoint the causes for our effects

Thank you for reading,

Cheers 🥂

- 34 year old man looking to get married

Will invest more dollars, time, & energy into a dating offer

vs the 21 year old looking to get laid

- 32 year old stay at home mom

Will invest more to learn how to build a online income

vs the 23 year old too lazy to get a job
You can be selling the exact same offer

Who you put it in front of matters more

🔑 Motivation level of your demographic determines how much ‘convincing’ is needed

No convincing is needed for the highly motivated

They will chase you once they discover you exist
🔑 HUGE KEY for my fellow young men

You view the world through your shoes

As a 22 year old male I had little to spend & little motivation to spend

🔑 So I unconsciously ASSUMED the world was the same

Put yourself in other peoples shoes...

Humans desire to solve & make the unfamiliar familiar

Start of a webinar, video, article

Show a random image: 'x'
& hook why it's important

Then say: "but before we quickly need to understand...."

They will stick around unconsciously wanting to resolve what 'x' was
Example of this 'hook & cliffhanger'

=====
"Selling or convincing people to do things, I could never imagine. It feels weird to me...

I would struggle until I found this ONE THING

That had people already 'sold' before they even saw any sort of sales pitch....
"...imagine how easy it would be if there was no friction or awkward hard selling

Rather, they're already sold and your role becomes more so a payment collector....."
====

Notice I hooked the 'ONE THING' & begin to hype it

It’s not what you know, it’s who you know

🔑 Pay for the best courses, you’ll get access to the FB groups

Guys constantly posting their wins

👦🏻 “230k/month! goals for this month get our sales team to close higher %”

If you do phone closing message him
Offer tips on ‘what’s working for you & your clients’

Free value building rapport just being an all around cool guy

Then present the idea for you to take some of those calls

$6k offer
You get 10-20% per close

4 calls a day
Remember this ain’t 1980s cold calling

These are already warmed qualified leads who mostly just want to confirm their decision

Fairly easy closes

Close 2 out of 4 calls a day $1200-$2400/day

Marketing Influencers vs Millionaires observation

- Guys running ads making $3M+/year grow a following as a side effect

Their posts get only 190-400 likes.

Because the algorithm sees their followers don’t engage with their organic content it..
Only shows their posts to a tiny fraction of people

They’re also not entertainers, they’re effective sellers

Without fail, every time they post maybe 3-7 things a year

Its family, friends, dog, wife, cars, hobbies

They have 40,000-100,000 followers just like the influencers
But the influencers rely on organic traffic

The influencers posts are designed to be more engaging & their more frequent posting means way more likes

🔑 Key point I am trying to make here is this...

Persuasion trick to rapidly build trust

🔑 Narrate the objections

Narrate & bring up the doubts

- Shows you have nothing to hide
- You're the 'neutral' trusted advisor showing both sides
- Let's you influence their perception of that doubt
Attraction is not enough to convert

Attraction merely sparks interest & desire

To act on that desire there needs to be trust/comfort

Relationship = Relate

Is the value you offer relevant to them, good for them, low risk for them (comfort/trust aspect)
Narrating the objection puts you in a position where you're on the same team as them

You're not trying too hard

You're not like other marketers, or even a marketer

You genuinely want them to make the best decision & if they're not a good fit you don't want their money
